So, I got a call from this number on my cell. I added it to my contacts without calling back because I was in a meeting. When I got out, I checked the contact and it had an email address connected to the phone number. The email address was 2co@2co.com/ I went to the website 2co.com and it is a credit card verification company. I suppose after reading all of these MEDCO messages they may be using this company to verify data.
I receives calls from this number constantly, they never leave a message. This is a Wyckoff number. I know this becasue I used to live there and my number started with 891. Must be a scammer. I wish I would be there to answer it one day to give them hell
If you want Medco's 800 # look it up, not thel scam artist using 201-891-1029, 2101-891-3302, etc's.
I received this number on my cell phone many times... I am a MedCo customer, however when i called them they told me that they have not tried to contact me in over a month and there is nothing on my account that is flagged as why they would be calling me. I would be cautious about taking this call.
Rec'd a call, same scenario as above, caller had thick accent, said she was from Medco and asked for my daughter and said she had a question about a prescription. I foolishly gave her my daughter's number. She told me the woman called, claimed to be from Medco, and asked her to verifiy her social security number. Luckily, my daughter hung up know that reputable companies don't ask you to do that. Ughhh. Creepy.
If you call this number back, you will recieve a medco rep. All the call was about is switching your medications from retail pharmacy to mail order for cheaper. When the rep answers the call, they will think its a normal call from someone who just wants some help with their medco account. So yes, they will ask your name and a zipcode/dob/address to access your account. They cannot speak about the call or anything else without accessing an account. They also cannot remove a phone number because without accessing a medco account, removing the number isn't possible. Call the number back and you will get medco. The person you get will be a csr for medco and can not tell you anything without opening a medco account. If you don't feel like giving out that personal info, don't call the numberback.
I'm getting calls all the time from 201-891-1029. They never leave a message and they just hang up. My husband answered the phone last night and they asked for someone that doesn't live in this house and they just wanted to take a survey. I think it is a scam and don't answer the phone if they call. they call my house two or three times a day.
