what happens is, when you fail to make good on a payday loan the company sells lists of all the defaulted loans to banks to do with them as they please at a fraction of the price. something is better than nothing. Banks sell these lists to Average Joes. Average Joe then has a list of your personal info, employer info and so forth. He then, if not himself, hires a crew to call everyone on the list and try and scare as many into paying because they have knowledge of the debt therefore are fooled into thinking that legal action could possibly be taken......how do I know? an Average Joe approached me once with the scam. after his pitch i asked if it was illegal to which he answered "heck yeah!" ....needless to say, I declined....how did i end up here? lol i defaulted on a payday loan years ago ;)

received a voicemail stating that I had 4 hours to respond to the call and contact my attorneys because I was being sued. The message also stated that there was a restraining order against me. They threatened to call my employer and have my wages garnished to resolve the issue. As usual, the phone just rang, passcode asked for and then disconnect. What can be done to stop this harassment?

These people are calling my daughter on my behalf threatening her

I just got the same message last night and said I had 4 hours or they were calling employer. Wasn't even for me it was for my fiancé. They said about a restraining order and garnishing wages.

I got the same call. They call me about twice a month for about 3 months and then stop for a few months and then start all over again.

I called this number back --- 202-417-2021 and a girl answered the phone "Litigation". I immediately asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and she proceeds to put me on hold. I called back and asked for a supervisor again and the same girl answerd the phone. I told them I will sue them if they call me back again.

i have received more than one call from this numbertotal scam, they don't want to talk, only threaten if you ask a bunch of questions

Yes I just received the call and they threatened me with legal action I have not received any letter and also threatened to garnish my wages if I fo not call vack. ; hours is not JP buy the phone rings with no recording.

This is another scam from either Pakistan or India. They have stolen your id and are trying to scam by making threats. It's amazing that with all of the spying our government does that they just don't stop these people

They called my phone just a few minutes ago and left a message threatening me will saying i have four hours to call them back or they are going to take action against me. I am so sick and tired of these people calling and doing this i have dealt with so many of these idiots and believe they have nothing else better to do.
