They actually gave me a validation code from an automated system we dont know who or what they are or want
I am being called by this number 5-10 times a week and I NEVER REQUESTED anything from Google. I have been using Gmail since day 1 with an invite I received from work and I know very well how their system works. You try to recover your email or add a feature they call you and you enter the code they provide.Unfortunately i never made such a request and this is OBVIOUSLY a scam. I have owned my phone number since 1997 and there's no way google is making a mistake calling me. Someone is initiating this and its not me.

I received a call from that number and also the area code was in parentheses, I didn't answer it... it was 11:00 pm and had never seen that number before.
