CALL FROM THIS NUMBER WAS GOOGLE VOICE CALLING TO VERIFY MY PHONE FOR MY GOOGLE VOICE ACCOUNT. HOWEVER, HAVE ALSO HAD SCAMMERS ATTEMPT TO HIJACK MY CELL PHONE AND LANDLINE NUMBERS USING THIS SAME NUMBER, ASKING YOU TO ENTER A TWO DIGIT CODE INTO THE SYSTEM SO "THEY CAN CONNECT" TO YOU. FOUND OUT THEY HAD HIJACKED MY CELL PHONE NUMBER AND HAD TO ATTEMPT TO RECLAIM IT. PLEASE BE WARY OF ANYONE ASKING YOU TO ENTER A CODE SO "THEY CAN CONNECT" TO YOU. VERY HARD TO GET NUMBER BACK YOU WOULD ALMOST HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR NUMBER IF NOTHING ELSE WORKED... THERE ARE ALSO COMPLAINTS IN GOOGLE VOICE THAT INDICATE THEY WILL GIVE LEGITIMATE NUMBERS OF OTHERS OUT TO COLLECTION AGENCIES, ETC...
I found this number is a verification call from GOOGLE VOICE. When a person adds a forwarding number to their Google Voice account, (a number which will also ring when anybody calls their GV number), Google makes sure the person requesting the addition actually owns or has control over the forwarding number by showing a 2 digit validation code on the GV page and dialing the number asking whomever answers to enter the code shown. Sometimes people enter the wrong forwarding number by mistake and Google will call the wrongly entered number anyway, seeking the validation code. If you have no Google accounts and get an unsolicited call from this number, just hang up and you will probably never get another.
The number is from Google, it is used to set up a dual sign in if you have a a need to change your password. It is a computer voice and I used it jus last night to change my password. I am not able to get some texts so I must go with the call.
I got a call from this number and I didn't answer it. I don't answer my phone if I don't recognize the number that's calling me. If they need some thing, the individual will typically leave a voice message..otherwise, I just ignore them because it's spam.
When I got a call from that number, no one spoke, and no message left. I was trying to get my account verified with Google.
