A nameless, faceless person tells you to do something, and you do. The best software, antivirus, security, can't fix that. And people wonder why scams work.
IF you are verifying a new phone in Google Voice, then this is perhaps legitimate. But as you are in the driver seat for generating this call. You click to verify the phone in GV, then GV asks your permission to call. So it should be plainly obvious that it is GV. It will not magically call out of left field later, or anything like that.But for the many here that do not have Google Voice, it is obviously a telemarketer spammer that is spoofing Google Voice's verification caller id.
person had my number and asked for me to put in the verification code of 37, so i did and now i can't connect to the internet by phone and i don't know what else their doing.
