I got a call few minutes ago from the above mentioned number, it's a huge scam on behalf of amazon. I did not give any info saying if this is amazon and there is a mistake on my accounts, orders, etc., send me an email. Watch emails as well, lots of scams going on, on behalf of amazon. This guy had an india or afhgan accent.

Seemed like a scam. The rep wanted to verify the cost of an Amazon purchase and gave me the price of the item that I was unfamiliar with. Then told me the ending of a card that I don't even own. When I expressed my confusion, they simply told me they "canceled" the order and hung up.

Be careful! To verify if it’s really Amazon please visit Amazon webpage and their phone numbers should be posted on their website and contact them and they will confirm your Amazon account and inform you were their any recent purchases or not. Why do you answer your phone from phone numbers you don’t recognize? Amazon Customers should already know if they did or didn’t purchase products and gift cards or not. Amazon will always email order confirmation. Amazon Customers also create an account online. Please sign in your account products and gift cards are always save in Amazon Customers accounts.

Really? Then why, after blocking the 206-508-4014 phone number...did they call from a number in India of +91 80-66055000? In all of my years in using Amazon, Amazon has NEVER called me about an eGift card order. NEVER!!!

Amazon calling to confirm purchy

First, in all of my years in using Amazon, Amazon has NEVER called me about an eGift card order.Last Sunday, however, I received a phone call from this phone number a few minutes after placing an eGift card order. I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message. I also blocked this phone number, after reading on this website that this phone number is a scammer.A few minutes later, they called again from a phone number in India of...+91 80-66055000And, again, they didn't leave a message. I also blocked this phone number.After blocking both phone number, I didn't receive any more phone calls from this scammer.

Amazon calling to confirm purchase I just made

While on another phone call on my land line I got a call from this number on my cell. I picked it up because two of my coworkers have the same area code. A woman with a heavy Indian accent said she was calling from Amazon and wanted to confirm a recent purchase. I hung up. She called back 3 times within 5 minutes and finally left a message to call 877-243-2913 regarding verification of a recent purchase. It sounded way too suspicious for me to risk calling back. While the phone number showing on my caller ID may be legitimate, the call itself was most likely a scam.

Can confirm. I had been locked out of my account for a few days and opened a ticket. Within 24 hours received a call from this number. Asked about my orders I had created, had my name. I said yes. Immediately after the call, was able to access my account once again. They had locked it down due to suspicion of fraud.
