First I have to ask, has anyone else noticed that the replies from "The ARC Donation Center" all look strikingly similar to each other? LOL. Next I have to agree, despite what others say about the ARC, they truly are some of the rudest people working in a public access call center. They should not be allowed to make/receive calls and be rude, impolite, or otherwise anything less than happy/positive. At least fake it for crying out loud! I realize they may not be the most fortunate people on the planet, but come on!!! And now for my short story. Several years ago my sister in law (8 3/4 months pregnant mind you) got a call from the ARC stating the usual. "We will have a truck in your area...." So yes, she said of course I'll set a few things out. Well of course on the day the truck "was in her area", she was in the hospital giving birth!!! Now keep in mind they asked her to leave the items out by the main street, not in the culdesac they live in. Of course she didn't get anything to the street, she had a freaking baby to push out of her tummy!!! No details given there. So, later that day the ARC had the nerve to call her up and harass her about forgetting to leave anything out for them to pick up. Number 1, she took the damn call from in the hospital, how do you think that made her feel? Number 2, if there was a truck already "in the area" as they state, it shouldn't have been such a big deal like they made her feel it was. Number 3, who does this $hit to people? Call and chew someone out for not donating? WOW!!! I'm definitely impressed with the ARC for sure. Anyone else hear of this kind of thing happening??? And yes, they are calling me now on my cell phone at work. How nice... @$$holes!!! LOL

I think you are a liar. No other way to say it. Why must people make a situation seem 10x worse when they complain. I have donated for 15 or more years! I have forgotten more then once, they will call to make sure and then cancel the stop. The explanation I got was that they don't want the drivers missing or skipping stops, that sounds plausible to me. Do you feel cool attacking a non profit? Instead of staring at people with disabilities get off your butt and help! Honestly the arc probably makes thousands of not 10's of thousands a calls per day! Do you think they care about you few piss poor liars

Donation boxes collect your stuff for free and sell anything worth while on ebay. They put the rest in the trash. They rarely help the homeless except to make them selves rich. Ask a homeless person if they have ever gotten anything from this telemarketer.

You’re correct when you state that items put in donations boxes are sold for profit; these are referred to as for profit collection bins, unfortunately this happens all across America. Mixed in with these for profit collection bins are non-profit collection bins, here in Idaho there are two non-profits that have bins out, The ARC Inc and the Idaho Youth Ranch. When you donate to the ARC the proceeds go to help individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I encourage you to stop by are faculties located at 4402 Albion St Boise Id, 83705 for a tour; this will allow you to see exactly what items collected fund.Thanks,ARC Donations Center

THEY NEED TO BE REPORTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Go to DONOTCALL.GOV and file a complaint. You can complain about a ROBO call regardless if you have registered as a do not number.The call when Im driving (dangerous), they WAKE ME UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They call when Im at work!!!!!!!!!!Lets take care of this horse crap!
