Received a call from this number yesterday, left a voicemail. Caller identified herself as Nikki Johnson, an officer with the Internal Revenue Service. Said that it was urgent that I return the call or additional actions would be taken. I called back, no answer. I called the local Sheriff's Department and spoke with a Deputy. I was told that this was an attempt at a scam, and they are researching the phone number. The IRS sends letters, does not make phone calls!
Got a call from this number saying the exact same thing as everyone else. I called back before googling the number, and it rang 20 times and eventually I hung up. Glad no one answered... Total SCAM!
This morning at 9:02 AM I received a v/message saying that they would take action on me. It says this is a call from IRS,
I just got a call from this number. It was voice automated telling me they were to IRS and to call or have my attorney call them immediately regarding an urgent matter and that they may proceed with charges. I hung up. The only reason I answered is I am getting quotes for a service and thought this was for that reason. I hate spammers!
Recording said IRS agent Nicki Johnson and wants someone or attorney to call the back. How do we stop these people from calling? I thought I was on the do not call registry. I guess scammers don't care.
They called claiming to be the IRS. The caller sounded Indian to me so i asked if they wanted rupees or dollars. The dummy said "dollars".
