This number called me several times. I answered and they claimed to be calling from the Department of Health in my state (which is NOT New York, by the way). I told them to stop calling.
Daily calls which I don't answer. Finally fed up, I answered today and woman said she was doing a survey for Columbia University on how we're doing in 2013???? She said they would pay $15 and wanted to speak with the person with the last birthday in the household. What a load of crap. I told her no and hung up!
Rec'd call@ 6:23 MDT. Didn't know the number so sent it to voicemail. They left no msg. The number looked familiar but don't have phone history back far enough to say for sure whether or not they've called before. I am certain, however, I have rec'd calls from 212 area code and I don't know anyone in New York.
I keep getting calls around 730/8 here in CAWhen I looked up the number it was unlisted and coming from new york. I dont know what the cdc would be doing conducting surveys at 1030 pm New York time.... Just saying

Rec'd another call this morning. I was expecting a call so did't look at number before answering. They said they were with ABC (news ?) public opinion poll. Background noise sounded like telemarketing. I quickly said "no thank you" and hung up. Based on other comments I won't be surprised to receive more calls :(
I've gotten calls from this number a couple of times in the last couple of weeks, but I don't recognize the phone number at all. It's a New York number and I live in the deep south and I don't keep in contact with folks up there so I'm not gonna answer the phone calls.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.

Message said they were Johnson Controls Fire Protection and had received a trouble signal from an address in Tucson, AZ. I don't have property in that state.
