We received a call from a middle eastern sounding gentleman, and he said he worked for Healthcare Systems. A internet precription company. We told him we did not do that and asked him to remove our number from his calling list. He immeadiately said F**k You and then precedied to tell me and my wife what he was going to do to her sexually. He even asked if we had a child, and also repeated the same stuff. We told him that we were having his number traced through the Verizon Fraud Unit and that we would prosecute. He immeadiatley changed his tone of voice and begged us not to report him. We told him that since we signed the trace paperwork with the phone company we had no choice. He still begged us not to do it. We kept him on the line for 10 minutes and told him at that point that we had enough time now for the trace to complete. We then hung up. I do not know if this worked but it sure stopped him in his tracks.

My husband is in Woodbourn NY and I'm in Monroe NY, about 60 miles apart. I called him from the house phone and he said that the number that appeared on his mother's house phone was 214-586-0999 / Dallas, TX. The connection was bad and he couldn't hear me very well and he said he'd call me back. When he called, the connection was much clearer. This has happened three times this weekend but only when I've called his mother's house. Very Strange!!!

I was able to google this fast enough to answer. Don't know who it was, but one blast into the receiver from my air horn made them get off the line. I love my air horn!

Confirmed: I, too, received a call from 214-586-0999. Within 15 minutes previous to and after receiving the call, my friend from Africa contacted me. Seems to be some kind number where other countries link into to contact USA.
