Well someone just called my home phone and the caller ID showed the number 214 586 0999, I googled it an found this. Anyways it showed the number as being international in origin.

Confirmed: I, too, received a call from 214-586-0999. Within 15 minutes prior to and after receiving the call, my friend from Africa contacted me. Seems to be some kind number where other countries link into to contact USA.

Kim, How do you know for a fact that Vonage is selling customer information?Your assumption could be incorrect and you'd look like a dumbass. I guess if you were really worried about looking like a dumbass, though, you wouldn't be making statments you know nothing about. I know in my business(restaurant), if anyone starts spewing [***] they know nothing about, I tell them they need to shut up and acutally take the time to learn about what they're talking. I live in the Dallas area and recieved a call from 214-586-0999. The name on the caller id read "INTERNATIONAL"; when I answered no one responded. I hung up and then my phone rang not even a minute later with "UNKNOWN CALLER" on the caller id. I answered and a hispanic male said hello in spanish. He then asked if I spoke english, I said yes. He proceeded to say vulagar things to me and I hung up. He called back again but, I didn't answer. How do you report prank calls like this and who to?

I agree also. I got 4 missed calls from this number, I don't know if it rang, but it was on Easter Sunday when my mom tried to call me from Africa. It must be a number registed with the telephone company that does Internatinoal calls. That's a relief.

This number called at 12:14 AM today. I know 2 people outside the country, and I haven't spoken to them in 12 years, so I doubt it was one of them. I called my telephone carrier just in case.
