Yes, they can call you at work until the collector knows or has reason to know that the consumer's employer prohibits the consumer from receiving such communications. Please read the references you post before you speak incorrectly about then see 805.a.3.

The calls have become far less frequent after I started asking the caller questions like:What are you wearing ?Are you as excited as I am ?I'm very lonely and enjoy talking to anyone.

Debt collector. Someone fraudulently used my number on a form, and I've been getting calls for a while from different agencies, but this one was really bad - insisted that I must know the person, demanded I give them their current contact info. They don't even put an address on their website to write a complaint to.

Just received a call from this number and I answered. A woman asked for name I've never heard of and I told her it was the wrong number. I have a feeling they will call again anyway.

I have gotten calls two days in a row from them wanting to talk about my credit card account. They know my name, the last four of my account number. I am not in arrears on my account and I do not discuss my account on the phone. I explained that and told them not to call. While I was telling the woman that she just kept talking. They all have accents that are not American. I asked where they are but she just kept on talking.

Been getting calls from this number as well. Same woman leaves message (could be recorded) saying the call is in regards to a debt...then gives me this number to call back 1-800-303-2149 with a reference number. Since they won't tell me who the debt is owed to or anything like that, they will not be hearing from me!
