I got a call from this number at 8pm. They left a message and a reference # to call them back with. When I did they asked me if I was who I was with First Name, Middle Initl. and Last name. and Date of birth. I stopped them and said same name but different date of birth. I'm in idiot because I told them my Month and Day but NOT year. They apologized and said they had the wrong person and would delete me number from their data base.I proceeded to ask them what the SS# was for this person and asked me to give them mine to see if it was the same. So i did NOT THINKING they said it did not match and apologized. grrrr.About a year ago I had this same thing happen to me with Chase which i have but not a CC which they stated. Again. Same Name, Middle Int. Last name different DOB and last 4 of SS # and completely different address. I never heard anything from them again till now.I have recieved a ton of "restiriced" and private calls that will ring only a half ring or so and a few prank calls here and there. I'm starting to think they are all connected! I TOO HAVE SPRINT!!!!!!!! WTF
This is NCO Financials and they handle medical debt billing collections. They use illegal tactics and will call using this number telling you about another company, such as Sprint or XBox to verify that you are the person they are seeking.
This number called with a caller ID of 'Hatboro PA'. They were the Verizon Business credit department calling my business to let me know that they were adding the credit to my account that they owed me.
Yep. Hatboro, PA on the caller ID.Asked for a name of someone I don't know. I replied "wrong number". The person, in broken English, started saying something about a survey. I hung up.
This sounds like a scam. Please dont verify your information or give any. If is a collection agency they would have all your information, for example your DOB, address, full name, the name of the company that pass this bill to them and when the bill was given for collection. Another thing you can do to verify the identity of the "collection agency" is to call the company you owe money to and ask for the collection agency they pass the bill to. also google it.
I received 6 calls in a row from them. I was not able to answer the phone because I was at work, and finally I said that I couldn't answer their call. They called back 3 more times in a row. Not one message was left for me to call them back when I was available. I am pissed!!
I just got a call from them this morning at 5:32 A.M. I usually have my phone on silent at night, but last night when I was setting my alarm, I didn't put it into silent mode thinking "what the hell, I never get a call during the night," but I did this time! It scared the [***] out of me and also screwed up my sleep. I of course didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number, but part of me did think it may've been an emergency call from a family member, so I waited for a voicemail notification, but received none. And now I am on here figuring out who it was. I don't owe any organization any money in bills, etc., thank God, so why the *&%$ are they calling me?!There's a special place in hell for people like this. They'll be very tired and trying to sleep, then all of a sudden they'll get a very loud call from an unknown number just as they fall asleep.
