I rcvd call from a "Mrs Ward" regarding my resume posted at CareerBuilder.com. The contact #248-283-5388. What a load of garbage. Also thankful I came here before getting hopes up for a REAL career opportunity. I am almost looking forward to her calling back, gonna have some fun!!
i got the same calls that all you got. i did go to the interview eas hire and took the state exames for life. let me tell you what a joke... where do i start first there pay is not great but thats that you get 40% for 45 dayes then 50% and so on. they do jive you leads but the one day i did phone calls for them i help another guy with his leads in 4 hour we got 2 appointment the leads are recycled. then im handed this contract and in it you are responsable for all your office supplys your a SELF-EMPLOYED CONTRACTOR no ties to the company. on thursday you are required to attend a meeting if late 20 doller if missed 100 dollers (this is not in your contract is this illigal to do your a self contractor) ther only one that makes money is managment in the contract they have the right to hold commisions for 180 days. they sell suplemental insurance to union members but potray it as free union beniffits to get in the door. one last thing befor i go if you are reading this and are working for ail tell art to cut his nails this man is supost to be a professional and his nails are at least 3 centimeters past his tip of his finger totaly unprofestional and another thing i when to all training and classes in a suit and tie and was told that i can not dress like that its against company posicy this group wears blue jeans and tee shirts at the office i for one would never buy a thing from them.
in my opinion if someone calls you for a job it is an opportunity for employment and the pay is what u can make and achieve of your own volition. its simple they call you, u come in for an interview anything else is up to you (well technically even showing up to the interview is up to you)there is no pressure and how much does it take out of your day when you all are apparently unemployed anyway. everybody on here is complaining and crying about receiving a phone call or calls for an employment opportunity;which is better than no one calling, but u waste that same amount of time typing this to warn others of some type of scam, when in reality if you werent looking for work in the first place you would simply say i am not interested. it seems most of you are just mad that the job isnt what u expected but the true sense of the matter is, who truly knows what to expect from a job.you can decide and the employer can decide if this is a good fit for you (hence the reason behind the interview) if opportunity knocks and you dont answer then you dont know.in conclusion, most of what i read here about the rumbuc agency (which i am not affliated with or work for) is tiny minds complaining about receiving a phone call for employment, who are to lazy to check for yourself what is what so continue to be sheep and congregate around the same simple mindedness as the herd. dare to be different and be your own man. thats what i thought insurance was all about.
i got the same phone call this last friday but it was from a different number out of lansing. he said he found my resume on monster.com and would like to meet with me this wed. to discuss the job in further detail. he briefly told me about the company over the phone but i had no idea what he was talking about.
Mrs. Holder founding my resume on Career Builders, called me just 15 minutes ago for a management training position asking if I was interested. I stated I would have to know more about the company. She dodged the question indicating I would learn more at the interview. I told her just save us both some time and come clean about what this is all about? I declined the appointment that a reputable company would give me more information. I see I'm not alone. DON"T DO IT!
I got the same phone call today 3/10/08 but it was from a different number out of Lansing. A voicemail message was left and He said he found my resume on Careerbuilder.com and to please contact at him at 517.323.3923 ext 16. Contact name: Ryan WilliamsBusiness: Rumbuc AgencyContact Number: 517.323.3923 ext 16
You're entitled to your own opinion, Jermaine, however, this was about unsolicited phone calls. I, for one, already work full time and am not "lazy" nor do I have a "tiny mind". I am a college graduate, who uses proper capitalization, punctuation, and grammer, unlike some people.Perhaps you missed the whole idea of the thread. Perhaps I'm wrong. This is supposed to be a forum for people to share their experiences with phone calls they have received from the Rumbuc Agency. Unsolicited phone calls, I say again. Meaning I didn't sign up to receive their information, I did not apply for a job with them, and I am on the "Do Not Call" list. I have no interest working for a company who can not provide a website and/or more of a job description than what I was provided. I was the one who was going to cancel the interview because I had things going on at my current job. Mrs. Whatever-her-name-really-is didn't ask me if I wanted to reschedule--she merely hung up on me. I shared my experience because I thought that the professionalism of the Rumbuc Agency and its representatives was lacking severely. If one chooses to follow through with the interview, that is their perogative, but I would not bother wasting my time.

It is a 1099, self employed position. I called Mrs. Holder back after reading all of your responses and confirmed that. Also, I looked this entity up on the MI Economic Growth Website (Secretary of State) and neither names are on record with the state (Rumbuck Agency or American Income). Doesn't sound like a professional position, just hustling for the company.
