I received a call on my cell phone today from a Mrs. Holder, Human Resources Manager, from the Rumbuc Agency. She said that she reviewed my resume online and wanted to set up an interview with me. Right now, I am looking for an wntry-level social work job and am registered with three job websites: the Michigan Talent Bank, Careerbuilder.com, and Monster.com, and I'm guessing that she got my info. either from Monster or Careerbuilder. Prior to this phone call, I received two e-mails from this company, which I just ignored. Sounds too good to be true to me!!! The number she called me from was 248-283-5383.
I recieved two calls/voice mails from this Mrs. Holden at (garble garble) agency, I couldnt understand her either time... One was for me with my shortened first name, and the second was for my full first name. She sounded exactly the same in both messages... This also apparently after posting on career builder. Yes indeed hard work, you must suck up to the hierarchy of the marketing pyramid first before you get any "fruits for your labor". just like Amway, Jehovahs wittness, etc...
I just hung up the phone with Ms. Holder. The called was very scripted on her end. When I inquired about a job description she said "The job description is just what I told you.", next I asked for a website to pull up some history. She game me this long speal about Mr. Rumbuc and the labor unions, and in business since 1929. When I asked again, she said their website is being worked on, and will be up in 2 to 3 weeks. She wanted me to attend a interview on tuesday 25th at 09:45 or Wednesday 26th at 10:45.Any serious HR rep that calls from a real company will be more than happy to send you a job description. The sense I couldn't get that info, set off a red flag. I will not attend any interview unless I get a job description first. The number was from 248-404-8703. Interesting, I called it and it just rang, no voicemail, etc.
I got a call from Ms. Holder on Friday March 20 and the called was very scripted. When I asked about the job description she gave me some story about unions and insurance benifits. This so called job selling insurance. I asked her for a web site she said the website is being worked on and will be up in 2 weeks. She set me up for an interview on Wednesday 26th at 09:45. After reading these posts over the weekend, I just called and left her a message to cancel. The number was from 248-404-8703.
Lady call's my Parents house and left a message. "This call is for Mr.xyz i would like to invite you to interview with our company!" I believe it was a collection agency!
I just received a call from Mrs. Holder pertaining to my resume on Monster.com. She had asked me if I was soley interested in Engineering and I replied "no." After I had said this, she told me she had a managerial position within the Rumbuc Agency which pertainied to contracts for the local unions (UAW,etc.), credit unions, and other organizations. She asked if I could come in tomorrow for an interview at 9:45 in the morning. I still have a full time job, which I stated, and she asked if I could come in next week. I schedule an interview at the Rumbuc Agency on off of the Crooks Road Exit 72 at 901 Tower Drive, Suite #100, Troy, MI 48098. Now, reading this, just like most, I am going to decline the interview and seek other employment opportunities... don't waste your time. If there are this many complaints on a website google brought up, then it is a farse...
I received an unsolicited email from Paul Rumbuc stating he was the state director for American Income (a Torchmark company), citing that he had reviewed my resume on Career Builder and had a job opportunity. I further received an unsolicited call from Mrs. Holden at 248-404-8703 inviting me to interview the Rumbuc Agency. When I looked up their company online, I found they have several claims against them as American Income Life Insurance Company. The claims are from both policy holders for contract default as well as from employees who claim they have not been paid their commissions.
wow thank you to everyone on here! i had the same idea as everyone else. i was going to google up this Mrs. Holder and thier phony business. thank god i found this website. i deffintaly know i wont be going to the interview they set up with me. THANK YOU ALL
I RECIEVED THE SAME EMAIL FROM A Mrs. Ward ASKING ME FOR A CONTACT NUMBER WHICH WAS ALREADY ON MY RESUME. SHE SAID SHE WAS THE Assistant Human Resource Director with The Rumbuc Agency in the Troy, Michigan office. BUT IT GAVE ME THE NUMBER (248) 283-5388 Ext. 923 TO CALL WHATS UP WITH THAT.
