I received a call from this number telling me they were from Windows Tech Support and I had a worm or virus in my computer. The caller was a woman with a heavy accent so I could not understand all of what she said. I told her I had an antivirus program and she said it wasn't working. She wanted me to get on my computer, but I told her I didn't know who she was or who she represented and she again replied Windows Tech Support. I told her I would Tech Support myself and hung up. I did call and was told this was a scam and probably they wanted to get into my computer to get credit card information, etc.Beware everyone.

I recieved a call from this number it was a woman that spoke barely any english, she sounded asian. when i told her to remove my contact info she said "you look so pretty i can see u on facebook" then said go f@ck urself and hu... mcan called from 510-943-3040

received a call from this number this morning, somewhere in Jamaica.............said I won 1.something million dollars ...................... this is a scam.........I'm reporting it to my phone company.............

Ditto. Approximately three times a day I get a call from this number. I have tried to call it back in order to hear a typical company phone greeting or recorded message in hopes of learning who it is, but instead Verizon interdicts with a message that the number (282.726.2524) cannot be dialed.Clearly a scam operation.If Eric Holder weren't so busy suing Alabama and Arizona and trying to prosecute terrorists in downtown Manhattan, maybe he could look into this. Naaaah. Never happen.

This mumber is also connected with a 646 number in NY. They call every day and this week, the 646 number left a message saying I had 3 allegations against me for wire fraud and I was going to be arrested. Whatever. Call the FTC, your phone number, place of employment, and possibly your social security number may have been compromised by hackers.

I received this type of call several times in the last couple of weeks. They are telling me that I've won several hundred thousand dollars in some sort of sweepstakes, but I have to send them $160.00 to cover shipping and handeling. This person was very, very hard to understand. Probably was calling from India, although area code 282 is Illinois.Like I said I've received several of these types of calls, so I thought I'd have some fun with them. First of all the caller (which was very hard to understand) told me I would have to get the money to New York by 5:00 pm today. I asked him if he knew where I lived. He read off my address to me. I then asked him what state I lived in and he replied MT. I asked him what MT stood for and he replied Michagan. (count one for me!!)He said that I could use Western Union to get the money to his office. I then told him that my wife had the horse in town and it would be several hours before she would be home, (two for me) and I would have to feed the horse and let it rest before I could make the trip back to town. (three for me) The horse was really old and didn't know if it was upto doing two trips to town and back on the same day. (make that 4 for me)He finally extended the time until 5:00 pm tomorrow if that would help me. I assured him that that would probably work. He gave me a "code #" and said if anyone called back that they would have to give me that # and if they didn't to hang up on them. The code number he gave me was 19540.He called me back about an hour later to make sure that I hadn't talked to anyone else, and repeated the code # and made sure I hadn't talked to anyone else that might have called me about the same winnings. I told him that my wife hadn't gotten back with the horse yet!!!! (five for me!!!)It was sure fun to see how long I could keep him on the phone. I got him to stay on the line about 19 minutes. What a riot!!!

Original caller said he needed my lawyer infor for a lawsuit so they could file it. I said "What lawsuit?" He said, "You don't know? Let me transfer you to my supervisor." Sup was not availible, so he told me he would call back. Heavy Indian accent, name stated as 'Paul Brown". Two hours later I get a private call from "Mark Becker", claiming he is from the State legal division and to return his call at 860.726.7907.For gigles, I did. He had my name and last 4 # of ss and told me the same thing, he needed my atty info. I said he wasn't getting anything until I know what the carges were. He said I defaulted on a payday loan and that my email address was involved in the application process and I was being sued on fraud charges and Theft. I told him I knew that law quite well and neither was possible. I then told him I thought the call was a scam becasue the original called had a heavy accent and spoke from a script. He said for me to pick on him and his manner of speach was unnecceissary and that I should know that his paralegal "Paul Brown" has a speech problem. (LOL) He tried to confirm my address and I hung up

The caller again an Indian accent said he was a talent company and wanted my email address to send me info I Hung the phone up . Clearly this is a sign of the times with different companies selling info but I guarantee you if or when they call back I'm going to give him a ear full !@##$&*#&@$!#!@ if you know what I mean .

i just got a call from 282 - 726 - 2524 .. they called the first time and i missed it .. They called again 10 minutes later. i answered. it was a lady with a heavy accent she asked to speak to the owner of the phone.. i said she was. She then told me she was from Windows Live and asked if i had a computer or laptop... I told her no and she hung up..
