Got a call from this number, first time, at my business. At first the person didn't answer right away, there was a pause then a woman picked up. Honestly it sounded like she had dialed my number then put her phone on hold until I picked up. She had an accent and bad noise in the background. She told me she wanted to give me a business loan. I hung up. It could be someone from another country, that's what it sounded like to me.
I have received at least a half dozen calls from (at least it is on the caller ID which can be faked) 282-726-2524 claiming to be from Dell (I have had several computers from Dell and my current computer is Alienware which is owned by Dell) and tellling me that my system has sent several urgent messages to Dell indicating that there wre viruses on my system. He wanted me to download some software so that he could connect to my computer. When I told him he was an idiot and that my system had sent nothing to Dell or anyone else (I have a very strong Firewall and I run scans for viruses, spyware and adware every day) and demanded his name, telephone number and so on they all immediately hang up. Most people using computers do not have the technical knowledge necessary to be sure that this call is fraud and might allow him access. I have contacted Alienware and described this and that information is now being sent up the chain at Alienware and Dell.
Calls our office all the time. When we tell them the person they are trying to reach does not work there, he gets very angry and rude and argementative!
My wife got a call from this number telling her to call another number. I called a couple of times and talked to and indian man and woman, woman said her name was Hazel Fox, and another man a seperate time. they kept hanging up on me. Everytime i would call they would answer US Cash Advance or Morris Law Firm. Looks to be a scam.
