called and said he had received info that my computer had an infection and he would take me throught the steps to correct it. Heavy Indian accent.
It's such a scam your not going to get arrested for debt unless you were sued and didn't show up to court after being supeona then the judge might issue a bench warrant. When I asked where they were calling from they asked why I wanted to know. Hello habeeb your asking for my social. I just mess with them Cause the longer they are dealing with me they aren't scamming the poor older people who don't know any better
Come on people your just playing there game!!!. Call the FBI lodge a compliant. they have duty as well as authority to check on this issue. This is what their agents are for, inner domestic problems. This is why we the Tax payers pay their salaries, REMEMBER!!!!
First, how do they expect me to believe their name is John George or something like so american, when he can't even speak a full sentence properly. Then I asked him where he was calling from and he said "legal department" and I said okay where he said "houston, tx" its in middle of usa. Third clue this was a scam. He went on to read some paperwork about being arrested. I laughed because you can't be arrested for being in debt. I asked him if his company was registered with the better business buearu and he said "why do you need this information? you getting off the point". I kept asking and he wouldn't give me anything but this number 888-332-4306. Then tried to tell me the police were going to come to my house and my work. I told him to bring it on! I am a legalmen in the Navy, so please keep trying to [***] with me. I took all the information I could gather and now going to report him to the Federal Trade Commission. I would try the Attorney General but guarntee they don't live in this country
These people are so stupid that they use an area code that does not even exist! Yeah, they are spoofers and scammers who are trying to get some really stupid people to send them money. Don't fall for it, people! Add this number to your phone book under SCAM or DO NOT ANSWER or, better yet, block this number so you don't even have to be bothered by the ringing. Don't give them any personal information. Don't bother to ask them to put you on their do not call list. They are auto-dialing people and you're just confirming your phone number to them. Lastly, report each scam call that you receive to www.donotcall.gov so that they're aware of the problem.
Received a call from this number and no one answered. It's marked as Spam now in my phone book!
If they keep it up, tell them that maybe in Bombay they have debtors prison, but here in the US we don't; police in the US don't arrest people, nor does the FBI, or any other federal agents. Tell him to put the phone down and finish his curry, and try calling someone who might be stupid enough to fall for his scam. No, seriously, just hang up on them, delete the messages, and wipe it from your mind. Of course, you could also buy an air horn or metal whistle at WalMart, and let 'em have it the next time they call.
This caller had a think Indian Accent, and he said was from Microsoft Windows. I replied "regarding" and there was no response. I finally hung up. There is no way that Microsoft is randomly calling people when you can't even find a number to contact Microsoft legitimately. Scam. I feel sorry for elderly people that fall victim to these a**holes.
