Just got this from eva knight today.Hello,Thanks for the response... I'm okay with the condition and price of the item and ready for its purchase. My form of payment will be by sending you Check via Fedex next day air delivery.I'll be responsible for the pick-up and the movers fee will be included in your payment to avoid delay and to enable pick up company to schedule an appropriate time for the pick-up at your location after check has been cashed as I have other properties to be moved alongside the item. And secondly , Kindly delete the posting as am definitely buying it from you and it would be sad for me to have the payment in the mail only to be informed of the its sale.I will also wait for you to cash the check before i have my mover come for pick up.Would have love to come over for viewing but I'm afraid that might not be possible due to my work frame. If you have more pics please send so I can have a good look. Do get back to me with your full name and address (not p.o box) including your cell and land number so I can make out payment. Also am deaf and will like to be contacted via emailThanks

Got the same initial email as the rest of the group from "Janet Cole" along with this follow up email. Smelled fishy and of course, it was after a quick google.Btw, just curious as to how others have actually lost money from this scam... is there another variation of the scam that requests that money actually be sent?? And I wonder what this "Janet Cole" does with all the info she collects..."Hello,Thanks for the honesty towards this transaction so far.Well, The overpayment is meant to cover the cost of shipment for the itemalongside my other properties including tax and insurance plus the movers fee, As i am moving to a new house. All you have to do now is to take the check to your bank, Have it deposited and it would be cleared after a period of 24hours. After this period, kindly go to your bank, Withdraw the money after you must have deducted the item cost and an extra $50 which am given to you for your run around on sending the money to my mover via money gram. Here's the movers information below.Name: Tammy M. BellAddress :323 N. Congress AvenueCity......Boynton BeachStates........ FLZip Code.....33436Do let me know your schedule for the week regarding pickup as i have some other properties to be moved alongside the item. Please do act accordingly as agreed by depositing the check in your account to clear after 24hours then you make the rest of the funds available to the movers via money gram Money Transfer at any of their outlet around you or check on www.moneygram.com{click find us} and check for their outlets around and get back to me with the transfer details below (as it appears on the receipt) so i can contact the movers for the pick-up at your location ....Deduct the money gram money transfer charges from my fund also $50 for yourself (meant for any hassle or run around).1}Sender's name and address (as it appears on the money gram receipt)2}8 digits reference number3}Actual amount sent.Hope i can trust you with the overpayment? Your Honesty and transparency will be appreciated .Thanks for your patience and understanding

I received the following email from this name and email address.....Walter Anthony walter.anthony52@yahoo.com...in response to a Craigslist posting. I wasn't suspicious on the 1st email, but the 2nd one really got me thinking. They are using a new name and script now, be careful. What a bunch of jerks. I am relocating and need to sell most of my things and this is what I have to deal with. Good thing I don't get easily excited over things "too good to be true."1st EmailHello,I would like to know if this is still available and when I can come check it out.I think I would have to call you before coming,I am speech impaired though but would call on tty.Thanks2nd EmailHello there, thanks for writing back.Am so sorry I won't be able to come see it anymore.I thought I was gonna be dropping in your town in the next 2 days but my business appointment there has been postponed. I'm still very much interested in buying this, I need it for my cousin as a gift for her birthday. Can it still be sold to me? I will mail you a bank official check for the quoted price, any repairs will be on me, bearing the consequences of not seeing before buying and also add funds to cover the shipping to where it will be needed. I will arrange a private shipper to handle the delivery so it doesn't stress you. I'll be very delighted if I can buy this. Let me know if this is something you can work with and you can email me back with your name and address for the check. Thanks.

My story is similar to the other posts, although I never actually got a phone call, just an e-mail. I received the message below and thought it sounded fishy since I am nowhere near Maryland. I have not responded, nor do I intend to after seeing these posts."Hello, are you capable of repairing computers in volume Shoot me an email back as soon as possible pls or you can leave me a message here on my phone number (301) 741-4870, I'm speech disabled though, remember to leave your name and email address when you call.PS: - You can just reply this email, I'm always with my computerMaria(301) 741-4870"

Oh good! Yes please give me that tracking number and if your check says the name of a Power Company in Houston please let me know that too! And for fun and giggles you should reply back to her once you get her check and tell her that you've just deposited it and then act just really stupid and that you don't quite understand what you are suppose to do next. After a few emails you should make up a moneygram confirmation number and tell her you've just wired the money. Make her work really hard at trying to scam you and then eventually while she is doing all of this running around back and forth from moneygram to composing emails to you she'll realize that she is the one being scammed!
