Saw this number on my caller ID. It came in at 3:24 pm Sept 10. No message on the answering machine. I also tried to call the number back and got a busy signal.
Called but left no answer on machine.I've seen this before.Just don't answer the calls.I don't think they are really related to the police.
I am on the Do Not Call Registry; however, I think most people are missing a key sentence on the DNCR site: "The National Do Not Call Registry does not limit calls by political organizations, charities, or telephone surveyors." If they are a police charity, they can still call you. However, being a 301 number that called me, I have a friend who is a Maryland Police Officer, and I will ask him to check it out and see what the best thing to do in preventing this harrassing "Police Protection" call from this scam artist.

Called me but I didn't hear the phone, no message left
just got a call from 888-431-7820. Told me I was breach of contract. Very hard to understand the lady. I dont have a contract with anyone that I know of. When I look to see the number call it tells me Claim Services.
