Called 30 minutes ago. Wanted to "confirm" my telephone, name, and address (he had all three already). When declined, caller got hostile and verbally abusive/threatening. Asked for name, agency's name, and supervisor but was denied all three. Phone number search pulls up a "John Ferrell" of Potomac, MD. Reported phone call and incidence to local police.

I recieved a call from:POL PROTECT FUN1-301-762-6650on Sept 2 2009 at 7:10pm, they did not leave a message. I called the number back right away and it was busy, so I then googled it and no longer wish to recieve any further calls. Thank you

They called me and asked for Mr. Ellis and I said they weren't here and they said we will try later.

Recieved call today at 2:06. I picked up. I heard a muffled noise and they hung up. I called back and got an automated message about the Police Protective Fund.

Received call 3/5/07, 6:32 pm, Caller ID indicates: "Police Protection", they hung up when I answered.

This is like the umpteenth time this dude has called here......for the Police protection whatever it is. it IS a scam no police are calling for donations. Futhermore this John Farrell is RUDE and too damn pushy. I told him I was on the other line and he said WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT?? I am on the DNC list...what the hell is good is it...if I keep getting calls from RUDE people like this JOHN FARRELL

The criminals that use ids like John Farrell, MD COP etc dont know that I am going to hit them where it hurts the most. I am going to hunt em down and put an end to their games. They have no idea who they are messing with.

301-762-6650 called my cell phone. I didn't answer but I called later and a recording identified the number as the Police Protective Fund.

Hey there it's Arthur, i recived second call from this number today and nobody said nothing. So i went to the Maryland state police and they said that they have several reports already about these calls, i hope it will stop them. be careful friends!
