Guy named Steven calling in the IT dept of ?? with a LOT of other folks talking in the background claimed that I was using a laptop to send e-mail at home, and that it was causing problems on the network. I don't own a laptop. I told him that and he said that cannot be correct. Which is when I told him to fix his records and stop bothering me.
If they keep calling your landline from the same #, BLOCK the call (*60) or SELECTIVE CALL FORWARD (*63 to a pay phone,or better yet - a disconnected #. If they call your cell phone-block it. Go to "Security" menu to add a blocked #.
started with the "Can you hear me?" scam, getting you to say "yes". I didn't say yes but instead started to burp into the phone, and asked if he could hear me. Bye, loser.
Three different calls in 5 minutes. First two was some non-USA female with very poor English skills wanting me to do something on my "winow compooter" or "microsoft compooter". After telling her to stop bothering me with her poor English, a male with a similar accent but more understandable came on. The idiot did not believe me when I said I am using Linux and I finally told him off and hung up.I can not believe there are enough fools that do what these idiots tell them to do on their "microsoft compooters" to make it worth while to call me 20+ times a month. Just goes to show how poor Microsoft products are that these folks can scam people profitably.

I'm from delaware and got a call from this company. CID showed Brideville, DE which is 2 towns south. An Indian or [***] started his scam about my computer. At the first pause, I told him we were Amish and didn't believe in or have ANY electrical devices. That blew his script, so he hung up.
Looks like this # belongs to multi-purpose scam artist. I notice it calls here right around 5:00 PM or just after. I'm guessing it hopes to catch someone important, as opposed to a receptionist. Ain't gonna work, turkeys - ain't nobody here but us chickens...

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.

Call identification states Rocket Mortgage. Never call back a call without checking number first. Never take the name on caller ID to be the true caller.
