called, said my mastercard had been locked and to reactivate press 1. I pressed 1 even though I don't have a mastercard, just to see if I got to talk to a real person...took me to another prerecorded message asking me to enter my 16 digit card number. I hung up. Obviously a scam.
Said something about $9000 in free government money (couldn't place the accent, perhaps somewhere in So. America)I asked if you're calling from Washington, why is your area code in Colorado? Response was no, Washington DC, "area code 20201"I said, this is the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are you calling about telephone fraud?--CLICK--
Said my debit card was blocked and needed my card number and expiration date to unlock it. Hung up on them and contacted my bank. My bank said my card was fine and it was good that i DIDN'T give them any information.
No clue who it is. Reading up on 7 pages of scam. I have ask scam brokers why do their number show up as Private or Unavailable? When into some bs and I just said, I don't deal or hand money over to anyone. And I am not interested.

Just for giggles, I call the number back. All it say is the number is unallocated. It is a telemarketer or a scam artist trying to reach you and rip you off!. So, reporting it to DNC would be waste of time. So, if I am home if they call. I will just screw around with them. Having my pull pork curry sandwich and a slab of cow on the grill. Heck fun on Allah.
This number called my mobile phone at 9:30 a.m. this morning. It was a recorded message saying they were from some bank. One that I had never heard of. The voice then said that my debit card had been blocked. It instructed me to push 1 to speak with a live representative. I waited on the line just to see what would happen and it was just blank space. I hung up the phone and called my personal bank and there was no problem with my account at all. Be aware! Let your families know that this scam is hitting us once again!

I called the Chase number on the back of my card and they said they had NOT called me, said it was scammers. I had two calls on my machine asking me to call them back.

Claim to be discover card. I don't have that disreputable card and haven't had one for 20 years, so they have no reason to call me. Very suspicious.
