Received a call from this number and it was a recording that stated it was an actual human being calling from some Federal office. I immediately hung up. How do these people get away with setting up these fake calls and how do we get them to stop?
Just recieved a phone message on my cell from this number..my debit card was locked! yeah right!
get calls from this # claiming that they are there to make sure my cc processors aren't overcharging me on my statements. They want me to send me them our business cc processing statements so they can evaluate me. I just told them I have already found my best deal and am happy, she kept pushing so I hung up on her. They don't take no for an answer and hanging up is a lot nicer than I really want to be to them.
Call came in 6 times since yesterday. 3 times they just hung up. Once the woman claimed that a cousin needed $3200 for emergency surgery from an accident in Guatemala. I have no relatives in Guatemala.
Claimed to be "gmail.com", and said my account had been accessed at the same time from two separate locations, and this means fraud... Florida and California. I said "I have security features set up, so email me at my secondary address so I can know that you're not fraudulent." She said something I couldn't understand, as her accent was quite thick. I told her I couldn't understand what she had said, and she replied "oh, okay." Then she hung up.
They are doing it again. Just got a call from this # as unavailable at 11:48am. Did not answer. Be aware.

I called the Chase number on the back of my card and they said they had NOT called me, said it was scammers. I had two calls on my machine asking me to call them back.

Claim to be discover card. I don't have that disreputable card and haven't had one for 20 years, so they have no reason to call me. Very suspicious.
