I have received that call at 9:10am. They told me that my warranty on my car is about to expire.
Got a call from the same number today. I was not home and they did not leave a message. When I tried calling it from my cell phone it said that the number had been disconnected. Who do we report this to?
Call received from 305 654 1842 - no-one picked up at the other end.The National Do Not Call Registry is totally ineffective for this type of fraudulent bahavior. We would all like to see scam artists put in jail, but thats hard to do when you can't find out who they are.Here's a suggestion; all the local phone companies need to take responsibility for their service - they have a duty to provide safe services to our home phones and cellphones. Having to have call tracing and local PD reports is way too much hard work. One thing they can all do is read bulletins like this board and just block a long list of numbers for a start. Next, it should be easy for a consumer to get a telco to block numbers not by selective call blocking but at the telephone switch. Maybe it takes a judge to issue a court order to make this happen, but our lives are being invaded by scumbag crook callers like this and a responsible (and good PR) thing for a telco to do is protect its subscribers.Maybe some of the a**holes who make these calls will be themselves a victim - poetic justice!

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.
