I would never answer these types of questions-you can never be sure who is on the other end of the call. Someone asking about children in your household? I don't have any but would not want to divulge to a stranger the ages and number of children I have.
I get a phone call on my cell from 312-578-7015 every other day, they do not say anything. I normally don't answer phone numbers that I do not know. I wish these person/peoples would stop calling me. my next step is to call the bbb.
NORC on behalf of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for a survey (probably on the recent outbreak). It's not a scam. The person will ask if this is a business line, and will take a note to not call again and you can then hang up.
Just got a call from this number. They said they were from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and asked two questions, if I have kids under four months living with me, and if I have anyone living with me under 18 years old. I said no to both, so that was the end of the questions.
The above comments go back to July of 2013. How doggone long does it take to do a survey. This is a scam to see if you have children. You tell them you do and you will get more telemarketing calls aimed at Children. They compile lists of different categories then they sell them to businesses for a fee. The survey is meaningless, it is just to narrow down the field to target certain groups.
Please update if they have stopped. Block them if you can and the FTC should have made them stop. Also make sure to be on the Do Not Call list so u can report them there.
Right. Just as bad as the caller to assume all is on some welfare thing. No one should be harassed. Hate when someone starts a form and others use it to be nasty. U wrote a good one!!!!
So glad u speak n put these people in check. shame on them for agreeing with unknown callers. Sad when others try taking away freedom of choice. Very happy to see you on this form keeping people like that in order.
Great help. Precisely what I did to the flippant people years ago. I hardly ever answer calls I dont know. When expecting a call, I answer some local calls for the day because I usually wont get a bad call. If that person dont call that day I dnt answer anymore calls I dont know. I would ask wrong numbers to give me their home # and every time they would say they dont want me calling them at home. I say I feel the same way and hung up. No more calls from them. If it was collections, i knew i had no debt so because they wouldn't stop calling i started asking how their mom is doing like i knew them. They got irritated n annoyed by me doing that and took me off their list. Also turn them in to DNCR, block if I can, FTC, and fwd the # to Spam. I dont know if its my carrier only but there is a Spam # you can forward spam callers to.
