They called and left a message to call back immediately with no reason and I don't know them. I called back and asked what this was about and wanted to verify who I was. I hung up.

This is defintley AMEX. In this case, personally, it was a former employer (IBM) who did not fulfill their comittments to my AMEX Cooporate Card, and apparently since they laid me off in February without any notice at all, AMEX is now coming after me for the bill.

This Number belongs to G & C Collections, they are a private collection agency. One of their accounts is American Express. If they are continualy calling your phone, please file a complaint with the FTC, it is the only way to stop collection agencies that use unlawful collection practices. If you have a Amex account and you are past due, contact Amex and file a complaint with Amex as well as the FTC. Also, American Express is a great company that has made a bad decision about who to let collect there past due accounts, let American Express know that you will not do business with them if they continue to use a company like G & C Collections. American Express makes their money off of charges to the merchant and interest charges to their card holders not off of G & C Collections.

We've been getting calls from "Operations Div" 314-851-4351. A woman called around 7pm tonight, left a message for my wife & I by name, kept referring to "the situation." Not 10-15 minutes later, the door bell rang, and it was one of our neighbors holding a sheet of paper with the number 314-851-4351 on it. He said a woman just called him trying to get in touch with us, asking if he would pass on her number. We are paying on our Amex card, but I realllly don't appreciate them calling the neighbors. Wondering what to do next as far as stopping this.

just got a call from the amex collection the 314 576 3852, anyhow they said I iwed them 23,456.42 and I do but they said they need full payment to avoid being defaulted on. I dont have any problem paying them but the post above said they work on commission and said that they dont care about anything just money. I dont think I need to pay the whole amount do you?
