PISA group - eh.Thanks for this forum - hopefully the calls (empty calls) will stop now. They sell newspaper subscriptions - Houston Chronicle must have sold my number to them - I'll call the newspaper next...They have the dialer ramped up too high...not enough bodies to answer the connects so the dialer hangs up on you.
I recently visited different schools websites to try to get information about online courses.....since then, I've been getting calls from 314 numbers, 801 numbers, 636 numbers.....This has to have something to do with it
you are absolutely right it is thepisagroup.com that uses 314-963-8895 and 636-935-7146. They are telemarketers, and if you ask them how they got your telephone number they say your local paper. I called the local paper and they say that is how you got your newspaper from us . . they are our telemarketers. Then he said the 314 area code was PISA and the 636 number is actually the local newspaper so in effect they were doubling up on us. thank you for your help . . "ask the question" where did you get the phone number? We are on the laughable DO NOT CALL feds list, and receive political survey calls; and we changed our phone number to a non-pub which is a landline/home phone.
I as well have been plagued by a myriad of calls daily. I called the company and left a message to be put on the DNC list. John Pisa owns this venture in annoyance. Dare I say get his home phone number and give him a a few dozen calls.
after reading a good chunk of the posts provided about 314 963 8895, i can safely assume that its nothing more then a gratuitous telemarketing scam. quite to the contrary of some people thinking they are going to get a subscription for their local newspaper, WRONG. like randy back there; if you are gullible enough to fall for something as shady and back-ally as that, its your fault whatever the consequences are incited by it. i for one wouldn't ever allow myself to be stupid enough to fall into something like that. myself, i have been getting numerous calls from that number, up to 3 - 6 times a day, as late as 9 - 10 pm est. last one i got so far was at 10:39 am yesterday. SUNDAY OF ALL DAYS. i live in florida and have read that people as far as california have been getting calls from this number. how this company could be affiliated with every newspaper nationally doesn't make sense and i feel its nothing more then a scandalous tactic to cover up what they are really up to -- no good. strange donja think? i have yet to try any of the information provided to stop these continuous calls from occurring; i have just finished reading a majority of these posts, and honestly, i found this site just today. since i had gotten another weird call from a different strange number that when i looked it up, found it was a north dakota area code and two other uses between the 28th and today said they were nothing more then hang up calls. which prompted me to check out the other number and found this. but all things considering, i firmly believe this is nothing more then a scam, yet, i haven't had the issue of being jumped by some crack-induced telemarketer selling some friggin' useless newspaper because i fail to answer the calls when they come in. my fiancee answered it once and said that on one was on the line. one other time we answered it and we just screamed into the phone and hung up. though, if i had an airhorn, i'd be delighted to answer and just blow someone's ear out every time they called. ;)but on a more serious note, i am going to register with the dnc and call the pisa group directly to have my number removed. i will also be calling my service provider to make sure my number is listed private and to put a stop call on the 314 963 8895 all together.whatever the outcome is of my decisions, i will be sure to post that here. though, i still suggest the airhorn. :) it may be uncouth, but, that always out-ways to the humor factor.cheers!
