My internet provider allows me to block all their #'s out. I knew it was a telemarketer when I saw the # on my Caller ID. I am currently unemployed and don't need a paper subscription. It is hard times for many, including newspaper companies, but there going about it the wrong way...

It's a telemarketer from The Long Beach, CA PressTelegram offering a subscription to the paper.

3 times a day then call and hangups.There is no one ever on the phone line.

Do not call back the number that called you, call 314-845-2825. I got an operator right away and he politely took my number and "area of the country" and said I would be off the list in 72 hours. Let's see if that works.

Not sure who is calling from this number. How to stop the calls.

Called and did not leave a message when my answering machine answered.

This same number has been calling our number for days. I answered today and the male said they were selling subscriptions to the local newspaper. When I told him we already have a subscription, he sort of apologized and ended the call. The caller ID is NEWS.

I get phone calls from this number and when I answer, they always hang up.

How about fining these [***] for violating the Do Not Call rules??

We have been getting these calls for months too. I picked up once or twice and it is dead. However, my husband picked up once and he heard the operators on the other side talking to each other. The operator told the other one "yes, this number is valid". My guess is that they either get your phone number from a list or use random dialing and then resell it as a validated number. They definitely ignore the do not call list registry.
