Getting these calls on my cell phone! Put my number on the do not call list and I am reporting them to the BBB.
This number continues to call late at night and all during the day, when you answer no one there . When I attempted to call them it has recorder trying to sell you a newspaper but you are unable to leave a message. This company should be stopped.
Also received repeated unwanted calls to my cell phone from 314-963-8895. They just hang up. I will request to be removed by calling the number another person posted. Thanks.
I had these guys call today unfortunately I had just filled out a form to start receiving the paper online and was expecting a call. They gave me a good price, so I hope I get the paper soon... :/If I don't, I will most surely be sending in a complaint with the BBB.
This is a Facebook group for disgruntled former PISA employees, beyond that it has no connection with PISA...people in this group would probably strongly agree with anything bad you said about their former employer...
I stopped the delivery of the Tampa Tribune about a week before I started receiving calls from 314 963-8895. I had explained to the subscription department the main reason for cancellation. What was: over the past 4 years since moving to Hernando County (40 miles north of Tampa) I began writing letters to the editors of The Tribune (and the local edition Hernando Today), The St. Pete Times (and the local edition Hernando Times), The Tallahassee Democrat, The Miami Herald - each of these papers printed many of my letters, especially the local newspaper editions. As a matter of possible interest, I became a Guest Columnist in numerous editions of Hernando Today and Hernando Times - during the same periods of time!!!! If not one, then the other. (Letters to the editors were a couple to a few paragraghs in length; the columns in excess of 600 words or so.)A number of months ago I received a call from the Editor of Hernando Today inviting me to have my own regular column, to which I responded, "Don't I already?!" It was agreed upon that it would be named "The Rae Way". I know it sounds quite self-centered but I do believe my writings are rather unique - honest and well worded to make my points. There was no mention of monetary compensation, which may have been my mistake. I have enjoyed writing two columns a week for the better part of a year. As with most people, financial woes incited me to request the editor to consider giving me a complimentary year subscription - something like $118.00 to which I received NO RESPONSE whatsoever. I was contacted by the Tampa Tribune to question why I cancelled to which I explained there was a 'situation between the editor and myself'. She said she'd make a note of it. I not only do not get the Tampa Tribune any longer, just this week I abruptly stopped sending columns! This, on the 5th anniversary of moving to Hernando County, was in part the rebellious part of me that wants to shout out loud, "[***] You Hernando County!" There is nothing good here. Drugs, unemployed construction workers, drugs, drugs and more drugs. Did I fail to mention that drugs are a main source of income for many who are under 'pain management' care? The only positive outcome of living here was the experience of writing, writing and writing.... and doing it well enough to be printed. It would be nice to eventually get paid for writing but the likelihood is near zilch. But this will not keep me from continuing making entries in my four blogs - one on local issues, another on Florida issues, another on national topics and one on personal experiences. I have no followers but got real excited (I got tingling sensations throughout my body!) when I recieved three comments on a blog about Amendment 4 on the Florida mid-term election - the amendment would require voter approval of any major development that requires a land use change from agriculture to residential development. The blog also appeared in Hernando Today but no one commented on the on-edition of the paper. Anyway, I'm assuming the call from the 314 number may be in reference to my cancellation of the Tribune. I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to answer the call when the next one comes in. I'll keep on the line as long as I can, accuse the caller of being an illegal immigrant (the call is from Arizone), explain my writing history, the association with the various newspapers, etc etc. I assure you, my goal will be for the caller to HANG UP ON ME, and not the other way around. I know this commentary is pretty much self-absorbed but you have to realize it's for entertainment purposes - in other words, I haven't mentioned the name of any of my blogs.
i just also rec'd a call from this number stating it was the Daily Bulletin and and wanted to confirm my city of residence. I told her I was at work and asked how she got my number? She quickly said that she didn't want to take up my time but they no longer deliver to my city. Very strange. I tried to call it back and the voice mailbox was full.
