I was getting these calls too multiple times a day and when I did answer there would be no voice, just a click. The ID just said NEWS so I called the number suggested here and got my name taken off their list. They said they didn't get my number from anyone but rather take an exchange number like 350 and dial 0000, then 0001, etc. I also registered my home and cell phone on the do not call list. Thanks for the person that finally got the number to help me stop these nuisance calls!

I have been getting calls from "NEWS" for a few weeks now,and they call several times a day. I am a below kneeamputee and trying to get to the phone is very irritating.I have filed a formal complaint. I have been on the National Do Not Call Registry for a long time now. They'reinconsiderate jerks. I live in MN, not TX.

This is a newspaper subscription place. Tell them you've never heard of a computer. It's awkward for them, and they hang up and never call back. It's a lot of fun actually.

getting a lot of these calls

I had 2 missed calls on my cell from these guys, google brought me here, called the # to be removed, so we'll see. I don't see any posts here from people who asked to be removed and weren't, so I'm hoping I'm done with them.FWIW - AZ Republic sold me out.Also, I've been on the DNC list for a couple years, these guys don't check.

Been getting these calls for several weeks. Usually when not home but I do not answer most of the time. I have answered unwanted calls and when they start I ask them to hold on there is someone at the door and I just put the phone down and leave it sit until they cannot hold any longer an they hang up. If you are bored you can always turn the tables on them and start asking them questions, where are you located, did you have a nice weekend, are you married and have children....once you get them away from control they lose their places in what they are supposed to be saying and when frustrated they hang up. Another thing I have done is answer and then hang up right away, they usually stop calling after that.
