Dont answer the call, duh

Received a phone call from this number on my husbands cell phone saying they were from Arizona Republic. This happened at noon while we were eating, after just returning home from an appointment. My husband answered and then handed the phone to me telling him I took care of it. Since we winter in AZ and are now at home in the north, it was very strange. Especially telling me that I had ordered 13 weeks and had some left and wondered when they should start deliver again. Strange since we were paying monthly. I told him not until Nov. We live in a gated community and will be contacting them to let them know of this contact of trying to find out. They never asked for anything other than that. But now they know the house is empty.

#1: NO newspaper 'sold you out' - these slimers use auto-dialing machines, which simply dial sequentially, thus they also end up dialing cellphones.#2: Pisa doesn't have ANY info on you when they call, except what you GIVE them - so then they know which 'local' paper to try to sell to you. They then go to that newspaper and say, "Gee, look, we have potential subscribers for you! How much is this list worth to you?" It's ALL about the cha-ching, folks.#3: The Federal online complaint form takes less than 3 minutes - I've already done mine (see the March 7th posting, above, for the link). THE FILED COMPLAINTS ARE THE ONLY THINGS THAT COUNT IN GETTING THIS NONSENSE STOPPED. If you aren't going to take the time to file the complaint, give it up, and don't bother calling Pisa - these slimers'll just 'harvest' your phone number to sell to others.

Have rec'd several phone calls from this number. Thankful for caller id!

its the arizona republic trying to sell newspapers i just tell them im not interested i dont know how to make them stop though

almost forgot . . .#4: Take a look at Pisa's website, especially the contacts page. All those call centers, all in/around St Louis, Missouri, and all those so-called 'managers' are twenty-somethings? Excuse me, but when have you seen a LEGIT company where all the 'responsible, in-charge' people are UNDER 30? Sounds like their entire staff was hired directly from one of those companies that try to sneak into businesses to sell sofa paintings door-to-door. Like I said, slimers . . .

You DO NOT have to register once a year. ONLY if you change numbers , then you would want to put that number on. Once the number is on the DO NOT CALL LIST, it stays.

getting hang up calls all hours of the day.

If you answer they know you are there and they keep calling. I have answered and they won't stop just because you say you are not interested. Someone else calls. They don't care.

These people call me every day, several times a day and never leave a message. I have been on the DNC Registry for 8 months, which leads me to believe that the DNC registry really doesn't do what it is supposed to. And they are not out of Texas, they are out of St. Louis, area code 314.
