323-524-0755 called and left no message. Caller ID only said "Los Angeles, CA," which I could figure out from the area code and was no help.
I just got a call from this number. I listened to the "voicemail". It sounded like something out of a horror movie. It was just a bunch of weird sounds....like moaning or someone talking and with the speed super slow...you remember like when we'd play an LP record on a slower speed?? It was like that. Totally weird and creepy!
I just love my Galaxy S5 phone when I get calls it shows me that it is a telemarketer and how many times it has been reported and asks if I want to auto reject it and my list of numbers to auto reject is long. I have got calls before from the guy with the thick accent stating he was from Microsoft and I just had fun playing with him, like I am really dumb enough to fall for it. It took him awhile to catch on. It was entertaining for me on a day when I wasn't doing anything,
Got two calls in quick succession from this number. I didn't answer, but caller ID identifed the party as just Y. Obviously a robocall or scam. Have added it to my block number list.
Just got a call on my cell from this number - It was Robo-Bridget from "Credit Services", wanting to talk to me about lowering interest rates on my credit card.
Robo call from supposed irs saying lawsuit is filed and last notice to call (209)813-4131.Area code is stockton,ca area.Bogus!!!.Irs scam
Claimed was from the Federal Government Grant Dept. and I was awarded a $1,000 grant. I not so nicely informed him I am retired from the Federal Government and ALL US Government phone numbers have caller IDs and this number did not.
Caller ID said Los Angeles, Ca with this number. I felt like having a little fun to see exactly which scam was using this number. The girl said she was calling from the US Treasury department in Washington DC. I replied "Oh really! Then why does the caller ID say Los Angeles?". She hung up, lol. I was disappointed since I expected some sort of explain stink so I could get more info on the scam. Oh well
I am getting this call from the same man, saying I have committed tax evasion. when I argue with him a bit (this is the second time) he then hangs up on me after about a minute.
In most U.S. states, if you are on the do not call list, and you tell them that you are and to stop calling, you can sue the companies calling you for limited damages in civil court. The amounts you can sue for per phone call vary depending on your jurisdiction. Problem is that most of these companies are "spoofing" the info that comes up on your caller ID and they are actually located overseas in countries that do not honor US laws or cooperate with US law enforcement, and they are routing the calls through several places to make them nearly impossible to accurately trace.
