Call from this number pretending to be Microsoft tech support. Indian accent, hard to understand. trying to tell me I had downloaded viruses. I just bought the computer 2 days ago and had only signed into my Google account so far.
Called me at 7:50 this morning. No message. They are now blocked and added to my do not call complaint log
Another unwanted call today, July 25th 2016 at 10:52 AM from Murphy Amy 330-836-7919 and as usual, no VM was left.Caller: Murphy Amy 330-836-7919Call type: Annoying call
Calling to notify me of a virus and very interested in getting you in front of your computer and on the internet. Second person (Supervisor) had an Indian accent.
Got a call from 330-836-7919. The caller ID said the call was from Ohio. I did not know the caller so I didn't answer the phone. The caller did not leave a message.
Dependable Amy called me this AM and I didn't answer. I do not answer any calls if I don't know the person r company so an idea hit me! Block her call!!!! But I can only block up to 250 numbers and then my call blocker is full. But I'll keep on keeping on and blocking these scams. All they want to do is get into your computer and then they have access to all your information-like your bank account.... Don't fall for the scams!
robocall on my landline from 330-836-7919 caller ID said "UNKNOWN NAME" on Tuesday 7-26-16 @ 845 AMlive male calling SCAMMER with thick pakistani or india accent said I was sending them error and other messages indicating I had viruses on my computer. After explaining what messages they were receiving after I asked him, the SCAMMER asked if my computer was running.I told him no, that it was in a different room and I had to go turn it on.SCAMMER said he would wait while I went and did that. So I took my portable phone with me and went to my computer room.I told him i was booting it up but it would take a while.SCAMMER said let him know when my desktop came up. I told him OKWhile I was "pretending to turn on" my already on computer I loaded up the "SCAMMER HORN" to be ready when I needed it.I then told him the computer was up & showed my desktop.SCAMMER then asks if I can see the "ctrl" key and the flag key next to it. - I told him, yes I see itSCAMMER said press on the flag/windows key and press R as in "romeo" at the same time.I told him I had done that (really did not)SCAMMER asked what do you see so I told him.SCAMMER then told me to type in a website (not listing the site) and gave me the info.Again pretended to do that. SCAMMER said press the button. So I asked him what is that going to do. It will download the software (remote access software) and he said it would take about 5 minutes. I delayed as long as I could and said that the menu was up.SCAMMER said give me a minute he needed to initiate from his end a 6 digit number.when done the SCAMMER gave me the 6 digit number to enter on my '"pretend software."Told him I was done entering the numbers and he asked what options showed on the menu.It was now over 11 miinutes with this SCAMMER and it was time to tell him what MY "option on the menu" was -"I don't like expletive SCAMMERS" and immediately started my waiting "SCAMMER AIRHORN."I went back to check the line within 10 seconds to give him some more comments/expletives but he was GONE.
