I received a call from this number today. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. Reverse lookup didn't find a record. I searched Google for this number and found this site. I called the number and got a UPS recording. I am expecting a package that requires an adult signature tomorrow. I have no reason to believe that this is a "malicious" phone call.
This site isn't about UPS reading it, and no where does it suggest such. It's only a site to report phone #'s to the public.
Call from 336-332-7835 at 12:07 CST 02/21/2008. Caller ID read "U P S". Picked up on fourth ring, but nobody at other end of line. I am expecting two packages delivered by UPS tomorrow, both of which are high value items and undoubtedly require a signature.
called to say I had this vacation on waiting from back in 2001 and they want me to take it but I only have a year to take the vacation I told them I was not interested and don't call back and take me off there call list they have called at least 5 times since
I received a call from this number on my cell today. I'm also expecting a delivery within the next few days. Seems like a good service so that deliveries do not have to be rescheduled.
I received a call from this number. No message was left. I am indeed expecting a package delivered tomorrow where signature was requested. I hope they actually do that since they've just left it at the door before.
called number said signature or cod not expecting a packagecalled back couple of minutes later, no answer, just kept ringing
This is a legit call. I answered this number the second time (I looked it up here first). It was a UPS recording letting me know that UPS would be here to pick up a package tomorrow. Since my wife has a defective product packaged and waiting for a the manufacturer to issue a call tag, this is expected. The odd thing is that she gave the manufacturer her cell number, not mine. My guess is UPS must have my number on file tied to our address, so they called me.
FOLLOW-UP: Received another call from the same number later the same day. This time it DID leave a message on the answering machine regarding a UPS package delivery scheduled for the next day requiring a signature. Package was delivered the next day as scheduled and I have received NO further such calls. So it seems a LEGITIMATE call from UPS. Probably a good service to help get the package delivered on a single delivery attempt, thereby saving money for UPS and hassle for me.No complaint here.
