just got a call , it is from someone phishing for credit card information, it asked me to press 1 to speak to a representative if i wanted the interest rate on my Visa card lowered, i have no Visa, out of curiosity i pressed 1 and Rachel answered, and wanted to know if i wanted a lower rate on my visa, i asked her who the hell she was and she hung up.
I just got a call from them and also pressed 1. I told them to take me off their list as I do not use credit cards and the jerk hung up without a word.Do you know of anyone using the report this call at the very end of this message board.E..................
Live in Canada and just received the third call today from 386-233-3694. Have Bell Canada phone service/Panasonic cordless phone. I pay for a package that includes call blocking and have now entered this phone number to be blocked. Time will tell if it works! I am only allowed to block 12 numbers!! And believe it or not 800 numbers cannot be blocked or so Bell says.
I''m in Canada and I have been trying to get this bunch of scam artists from calling me for four years. They call from different parts of the US and I am on the National Do Not Call List. Numerous times, I have politely asked for a supervisor so I can no longer receive these calls and the reps are rude and abusive or simply disconnect the call.
Don't think we've had this one before; all it says is OUT OF AREA. It started to leave a message - missing the first couple of words - about lowering interest rates, and then I cut if off. What a stupid waste of time. We never pick up when we don't recognise the number, especally when it's Out of Area, and it's most unusual when even a recorded message is left.
Why isn't our supposed government doing anything to put an end to this bovine excrement that we are all obviously fed up with, and that is more often than not nothing but a scam? What are we paying them for? Personally I would like to see a system where if they call someone on the do not call list, you punch in a number and the caller is charged for the call. Make it hurt.
These robodialer camers called my neighbors, my parents (who live in a different area) and me this moring. My neighbor answered the call. These crooks were able to name the card owner and trying to phish credit card info.
I have my phone # on the do not call list and still receive these scam artists calls. We have spineless politicians who cannot even stop these calls.
