I just reviewed my caller id and saw that this number called me this morning. Good thing my ringer and answering machine is off. When I don't recognize a number, I automatically Google it. Thanks to this site (which has helped me numerous times), I will add the number to my block list. It's a holiday in Canada today. Obviously whomever it was doesn't respect this.

Recorded message from Credit Card Services with an offer to reduce credit card interest rates. Fortunately there is no live person there with a script to answer every objection you have. The recorded message gives the option to press 3 to stop further notices.

Got a call today. Pressed 1 as instructed. Ask what company this was affiliated with and caller hung up.

If you want your credit card rate lowered, call them back.They will do it !!I guess scams are legal in Florida. Thanks to the governor.

If you have call screen service, and the call comes through with UNKNOWN NAME then simply add this number to your blocked callers list. Any reputable firm would have no problem letting their name come through on caller ID. They can decide to hide their company name, but when they do they are demonstrating they have something to hide, pure and simple.Be aware folks. I just rec'd my 1st call fro mthese jokers, my wife and I both on the line, no one answering at their end then we get a series of telephone beeps as if they were dialling out once again. You're just a name on a list, and an easy target. Protect yourselves.

Pressing any number NEVER stops them from calling. They do not honour any such request.

I am fairly certain you CAN block 800 numbers.
