Although you could possibly make caller id say anything you want, if you click on the link that Raul provided above, or just go to Walgreens.com, if you trust links as little as the phone system, you will find this number and three others used by Walgreens to remind you to refill your script. If you do not want to receive the calls any longer, you may opt out of the program there as well. He actually helped you and everyone else reading about the number 'PROOF' and a way to personally verify it.

I just received a call from walgreens refill issue is I do not have any refills with them. I checked my local and also called the pharmacy in NE. Nothing On File.

This is indeed the Walgreen's prescription department calling. I just called back on the 800 number left in their message. All I had to do was to confirm my birth date. My prescription will be ready in 24hrs.This is NOT a SCAM.... Conspiracy theorists please leave this site.

They do you go to the store and sign up for it and when it's time for your meds to be refilled they will give you a reminder call
