1. Go to Walgreens.com2. In the upper right, click on "Your Account" or "Sign In."3. Log in with your username, which is probably your email address, and your password.4. On the next screen there are five tabs under your name. If you hover over "Personal Settings," a drop-down list will appear. Click on "Communication Preferences."5. On the next screen, you will see "Text Message Alerts" and "Phone Call Alerts." Click on "No" for either or both.6. Click the blue button that says "Save Changes." If you don't click the blue button that says "Save Changes," your changes won't be saved.Remember: THIS WON'T WORK IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT. In that case, you're on your own. The employees at your local Walgreens probably don't know anything about this. This is corporate, and we all know corporate doesn't communicate with employees.
Just called the number. It's walgreens. You obviously forgot to pick up your meds. Next time, you should answer.
My husband just received a call from this number (on his cell phone) and if it really is Walgreen's, we have not had a prescription filled at there in almost two years. That prescription wasn't even refillable without doctor approval. I looked up the number at reversegenie.com - says that the Name of the Company out of Omaha, NE, is "Not Available." No voicemail was left.
I also received a call about a reminder refill. Instead of giving the information to the 800 number left in the phone message, I called my local Walgreens in order top opt out of the program.
Look in a mirror-did I ever SAY it wasn't Walgreens? No-I said it could still be SPOOFED. Get your big girl glasses on and try some reading comprehension. Scammers spoof legit numbers to appear legit themselves-FACT!
"each stores computer is set up that when your prescription is filled the computer is set to call your phone number that we have on file 10 days prior to the time that your prescription is to be eligeble to be refilled You first say that the computer at the store is set to call you when your prescription is filled, then later in the sentence you say it will call 10 days prior to the time the refill is eligible to be filled. That doesn't really make a lot of sense to me.Since auto-refills are done at the store level, why would someone from Nebraska call and tell John Doe in Alabama that his prescription is ready. According to the Walgreen's website, auto refills are typically processed 2 or 3 days before they are due, so why would someone be calling 10 days out and ask for information that you would give to the pharmacy at the time of pick-up. Besides, why would this number call people who don't get prescriptions filled at Walgreen's. It definitely makes a person wonder. Also, I can't say as I actually believe you are really a Walgreen's pharmacist, since your information is not completely correct.
