This is a legitimate call. We had fraudulent charges on our bank card and called the number in the back of the card to close the account. Take it seriously and check your account.
A fraudulent company!!!!!!!!!!I just called my bank and they confirmed it was not them totally wrong state and number that called me
I got a call at 8am on a Sunday morning. I'm usually suspicious of these calls but answered. The woman said she was with 1st Financial and was checking on some charges. I could barely understand what she was saying so decided to look up my account online while on the phone with her. There was nothing on my account that showed any fraudulent charges. I told her I'd call her back and she hung up on me. I will be calling my bank first thing in the morning to verify, but I am pretty sure this is a scam. When I tried calling the number back, it was denied. Another clue that this is a total scam. Also, she didn't give me a number to call back, but people - ALWAYS call the number on the back of your credit card when you get calls like this, and NEVER call a number they give out to you. Even if they give you a 1-800 number, it could still be a scam.
I have had two calls from this phone number in the past 24 hours -- comes up as calling from Omaha, NE. No message left. After the second call, I googled the number and saw it had been reported here at 800 Notes (one of my favorite reporting websites for phone scams!). I called the number back and it came up as a non-working number.I checked my bank activity right away. Nothing suspicious. I called my banks. They didn't see anything unusual.Keep a close eye on your accounts - especially at this time of year. But I am counting this number as a scam.
Anyone claiming that this number is legitimate is LYING! IT IS A SCAM!!!! They call and have an automated messages saying that they are in the "transaction review department" of [Insert Bank Name Here], and tell you to call them back. First of all, if you have EVER gotten such a call, it's a LIVE PERSON with your credit card or bank's security team, NOT a recording telling you to call them back. Long story, short. I called my bank this morning. There's no problem with my transactions. And I gave them the number so their security team could look into the SCAM.
This is MasterCard fraud alert. They called to ask about some charges that turned out not to be valid. They cancelled my card. I still had to call my bank and file the fraud charges and request a new card. These people don't sound legit at first because they use all nationalities in the call center. They had me on the defense. My debit card was compromised, I think from using a Valero gas station for fill up. I usually use the account for bill pay and seldom use the debit card except for emergencies so it showed up as unusual activity. They called three times without leaving a message.
Legit call, call my banks fraud dept. and there were a bunch of fraudulent purchases made with my debit card
This is a legit company. They call on behalf of your bank/credit union when they see unusual charges on your card.
THIS IS A Scam. They called 3 times on a SUNDAY to my phone, no bank works on a sunday, and the last call was at 7 pm . On Monday I called my bank directly, and they stated they did not call and there was no unusual changes on my card. My bank did states that several people called stating this number called themDo not listen to the people posting that this is legitimate, because it is not. If you get a call from them call your bank directly
