402-609-5709- Completely legit. I had to call back on the number (800-373-8622) that was left on answering machine. A fraud department on behalf of your bank. They where Checking on recent credit card purchases. Didn't ask for any personal info...All they asked for to verify was, "My name and phone number they called on"...after that...she said my bank name and started running off everything that I purchased.....just told ME recent transactions (I made that day), merely checking that they were mine. I did not have to give bank account number or address...just name and phone number they called on... For me "Not a Spam"
It was legit. After the robo-call left a message regarding unusual card activity, I called my bank's customer service dept. and they confirmed my card number was used in Mexico. But I'm not in Mexico. The call came from a 3rd party security provider that services my regional bank. Glad I called my bank.
This is NOT a scam. It is a third party service that monitors activity on Vias cards and Visa Debit cards. I did not answer or call the number they left but called the number on the back of my card. The card had been hacked - probably at WalMart. The service saved my account by blocking multiple questionable transactions until I called to verify them. If you question the caller, call the legit number on back of the card and be sure of who you talk to.
Automated message from "Transaction Review Department" (caller ID said "Scam Likely")on behalf of my credit union regarding a Visa purchase. I didn't answer, listened to message, but checked my account and there had been a fraudulent purchase on my debit card from Safeway grocery. I didn't call the number left on the message, but contacted the credit union directly to initiate fraudulent purchase process.
I received a robo-call voicemail from this number. Caller ID said "Walmart". The message said it was callingon behalf of and to call 800-622-1361 to review transactions. I called my credit union. There were no transactions attempted on my account or on the MasterCard debit card. The credit union said the debit card would have been declined. They advised me NOT to return the call.
This is a legit anti fraud call from Visa to verify transactions on a debit or credit card.
Just after Card Guard rejected a debit card and notified me on my phone I called my CU and canceled the card within minutes the 402-906 number called identifying themselves as the CU, know my name and my wife's legal name asked about the call to the CU I confirmed, they hung up Odd a local CU would have calls from out of state
