I wish I got a call from MMGUERNSEYL @402.935.7733.Ordered a CD on 12/13/2014Thought it odd that I didn't get an acknowledgement mail but Santa was coming soon so I was a little carelessLong story short ........... payment taken out and Santa's bag a little lighterAm now about to contact PAYPAL - this is my first bad experience
I received a call with an automated message telling me to log in to my Paypal account and accept some change that Paypal has. If I don't accept this change my Paypal account will be deleted starting this month.
I didn't pick it up but +1 (402) 935-7733Omaha, NE called me 3 times today and a couple of times 9 months ago.
Just called PayPal via the number posted on their website (877 569 1116) to confirm whether the number (402) 935 7733 was anything to be concerned about, as I had received a phone call from that number earlier today with a person only identifying himself by first name only and but not by company, mentioning that he had some questions for me. This did seem somewhat odd and concerned me as I have made a few online transactions the last couple days, both via PayPal, but also just using my CC.Anyway, the woman who identified herself as working for Paypal and seemed quite legit, was able to confirm my recent PayPal transactions told me that PayPal had in fact tried to contact me earlier today to confirm whether I had made a larger than normal transfer. Which I had. She was also able to identify the (402) 953 7733 as one of PayPals own numbers. Why the guy who left a message did not identify himself properly seemed odd, but perhaps this is due to safety policies...who know. But the number was a genuine PayPal number none the less...
I am the president of the Ladies Organization of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and have had a debit card only two months. I have used it once online through Paypal to order items for our Veterans Day banquet. A charge showed up on our bank statement with this number. There was no phone call, just a charge on our bank statement. When I checked into it, I found this site. I don't know if Paypal is part of this, but there is definitely a problem there. I will not use Paypal again. This has been a terrible embarrassment to me as I have a responsibility to those in our organization.
This may be a legitimate phone number but someone is using it to make illegitimate charges. I had a charge for 9.95 on a card that I have not used in over a year. It has never been linked to a paypal account or uded for ebay and this phone number shows up as the address for the charge with Paypal *spbsj0043 as the merchant. Once this went through they charged another for 25.39 from www.LoanPal.co.uk. After that there were two charges in the $2000 range that my credit card company declined and called to verify. Like I said I have not used this card in over a year so not sure how they got it. I never received a phone call from this number it was just on my cc bill.
It is a REAL PayPal phone number and they use it to call customers when there is suspicious activity on an account. They also use it to notify customers that their account has been reactivated after previous problems. To those of you who got ripped off...you probably either were ripped off BEFORE the call and it occurred by either your giving out information or your computer was HACKED (They download your email when you sign into it and get to your PayPal through there,,,they also get all your passwords), The only way to solve the problem is to go to a neutral computer (LIBRARY...Or COLLEGE) and change all your phone numbers.THAN DO NOT ACCESS ANYTHING PERSONAL ON YOUR COMPUTER UNTIL IT IS COMPLETELY CHECKED AND CLEANED. The infection is generally a "Backdoor.bot" (VERY BAD AND DANGEROUS) and free help can be gotten at AumHa Forums (google it).STOP DOWNLOADING TORRENTS AND OTHER FILES HARING CRAP (ESPECIALLY KEYGENS). Remove all files haring programs from your computer before going to AumHa as they will only help yu then. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE POSTING ANYTHING IN THE VIRUS/MALWARE THREAD OR YOUR REQUEST WILL BE LOCKED AND UNANSWERED.Finally...after the cleaning (It took me 4 days) get a Malware progrem (Malwarebytes) - FREE and an antivirus (Avira - Free or small fee choice) and KEEP THEM UPDATED and RUNNING AT ALL TIMES
