Rec'd charge on my Credit Card from PP*7040CODE 402-935-7733 CA What is this?

Definitely a scam...charged a $100 to my AMEX.

Just received a message of the same password was changed and to call 402-935-7733 and I forwarded this information onto PayPal at spoof@paypal.com and they have investigated many emails in the past in regards to Paypal and they were all scams. They are very quick to get back to you and I send them copy of the email I received for their investigation. I suggest everyone that is not sure to send to spoof@paypal.com to verfiy what they received is a scam and especially if you know you have not used Paypal or have anything outstanding, which my case in all these investigations.

I just looked at my bank statement on line and noticed that It appeared I used my paypal account to "Dragon mart 4029357733 HK for $6.65. Well of course It didn't take me long to figure out that something is seriously wrong because I haven't used my account since Sept 2011. I received no phone call I just ran across this in my bank statement and I'm wondering how is this possible. I recently looked up two things this weekend before this happened: Cheap Pink Wallets & Ebay/Barnes &Nobles book used "The House on Mango Street" The next thing I know two days later I seem to have a problem. I mentioned what I looked up for a reason just in case anyone else sees a pattern.

G Market is an online Korean shopping site. Weird that the number is from Nebraska, unless that person bought something on the G Market site with your account. I also wonder if Discover has been compromised, since a few people have made mention of their Discover card.I don't own a PayPal account or a Discover card, but I just received a call on my cell phone from this number & since I am both at work & didn't recognize the number, I didn't pick up. They left no message.

WARNINGConfirmed with PayPal that this number is not theirs. If you get a call from this number hang up the phone - they are trying to defraud.

Another info on that number. Someone hacked my skype account and used it to make a call to that number. The same one also made two calls to moroco on the same day. Skype discovered this and blocked my account, they even refunded my credit

The phone number is legitimate. HOWEVER, if you 'click on the link' provided in the email it will redirect you to a BOGUS Paypal page where you will be asked to enter your email address and password.Which the fraudsters will promptly use and exploit.
