I received a call from this number today at 11:15am EST. Incredibly annoying as I only have a cell phone.

Every things a scam. Use your brain. It is pay pal. Someone turns in a charge to your credit card from something you ok'd. Many times it's a "free trial" or something else that the small print has a future charge. Mine was Pay pal, but through click bank. I checked it and cancelled it with click bank as "did not understand the terms of billing" this was the number listed on my purchase. It it is on you caller ID it may be a scam, as people can fake caller id to your phone.

I had on my credit card statement this PAYPAL *AERIAGAMES 4029357733 CA.I too GOOGLE the name and directed me here, This is not mine, I do not play or purchase games, have got my bank looking into this for me

Ok, the number is Paypal. However, that does not mean the person who charged your credit card is legitmate. You must verify the charge was made by you. Obviously Paypal is legit, but not everyone who uses Paypal to collect money is honest. The scammers use them to steal money too.In our case, the charge was made on a company credit card (that is not hooked up to our Paypal account). I tracked down which employee made the payment on Paypal. All legit. FYI - Paypal did not call me, however their name and phone number appeared next to the vendor's name on my credit card statement. When I googled it, I came back to this site, and at first thought with all the comments that it must have been fraud. Then I realized that some people are not expressing clearly that the Paypal is legit, but the charges made to their card may have been fraud.Again, in our case - all legit!

Received a call. I was not available at the time. They did not leave a messsage. I have had credit card people call me in the past. If they did not get a hold of me, they left a message. Is this a GOOD number for PAYPAL... Don't know, would not take a chance.

Hi this is a massive scam and people have gone through paypal to fraudelently take money out of my credit card account. People don't trust paypal blindly. My bank is investigating this transaction also. All the nieve people out there who do not wish to listen to this can just sit back and watch it happen to you one day. Watch your accounts regularly for transactions you did not make.

I didn't call or get an email from this spoofing person but on my statement there are 3 charges with the paypal and phone number 402-935-7733 in san jose california. I didn't make these charges and some how they got my account.
