This **is** a valid PayPal phone number. I was called today but didn't answer. I called PayPal back (via a different number) and they confirmed that this is a valid number they use to call out to PayPal account holders in regards to account activity.
Not a scam, they just wanted to verify that I had changed my password. I said I did and they took the hold off my account.
(EasyCGI) webhosting is fraud!. They are using paypal phone number 402-935-7733 toget your bank account number and social security number. I called it all i got was a recording. do not trust pay pal either.
This number is out of Omaha, NE thru Qwest telephone company...also a telemarketing company. Omaha, NE is famous for having many call centers and are manned by prisoner. Yes, jailed inmates with access to credit card and personal info via online or via telephone. You don't know who you are talking to. Cancel your credit, debit or paypal account affected. Put a fraud alert on your credit. Scan your computers for keyloggers and trojans. I had a trojan but my own software didn't catch it until I downloaded a free one off the internet...yeah, free. Getnewitems is a bogus company and my charge was $7.20. It was an online charge and the merchant description is Computer Software Stores. I missed it the first few times I saw it since I was thinking it was for food. The credit card company says they do this then wait to see if it is discovered if not immediately then a fake credit card is printed and used. Local police will not make a report as it has to be reported to Omaha, NE police as the incident took place there. I'm not sure if that is really correct but who is really going to go all out for $7.20 which is why they do it at that small amount. It costs more to investigate. Also, scrutinize all companies that have your info... Add an extra identifier after your regular address to all companies but unique to each one like adding #1 or #2 and so on. So when your info is sold or traded that identifier will alert you to who actually gave the info out.
