I hasve been dealing with these calls since Feb also. The good people at Telus Mobility (They are actually quite good.) tried to get me off of the calling list, but apparently didn't know that 1-800 number to give me. I am going to give that a try. Anyone care to join in on a little letter-writing campaign to the Suns/Heralds/Garzettes & Journals of our fair Provinces?
When you call back to this Telus# you will end up in a automatic robot switchboard which is askingif you want to connect to this or that bla bla bla blah blah it just goes on.The call itself is just empty air with some internet static when you answer.Who are this certified? idiots at Telus, pissing people off at 7.20 am and 1.30 pm and 4.10 pmand right now at 9.15 pm on the same day. Are they fu<>ing insane ??
I just got this call a second time in a week. The first time, and this time, it shows up as an "International call" and the number actually reads on my phone: 1-140-331-0225. I'd like to say that Telus KNOWS that this is showing up on phones as such, and has done nothing to change it. The number is actually 1-403-310-2255 and it's telemarketers trying to hawk Telus TV and the bundles to go with it.
*57 is call trace! I have started using it because I get between 6 and 10 calls a day! No one is ever on the other end!!!!! I am too busy for this nonsense!!
I have received numerous calls from this number with offers for High Speed Internet through Telus. I keep telling the callers I am not interested. Years ago, I was a subscriber of internet services through Telus and experienced constant problems with the services. I switched companies and have not experienced any problems with the present provider. I keep insisting that I be removed from the caller list for any new promo's with Telus. I have an unlisted phone number and am registered on the DO NOT CALL registry in Canada.I find these calls very annoying and would be happy if they stopped. My patience is wearing thin. In the past two days there were three calls. Two calls on February 14. The last caller didn't say anything and eventually just hung up.
I have had telus call me frequently after owning my Number for 4 months, and after I just got "my number" that DAY, I put my phone # on the DNC national list for CANADA, and since telus is a friggen CANADIAN company, they have broken the law period.I have never subscribed to telus, never gave them my NEW #, ever.They are illigally calling me, never leaving messages, never doing jack [***].I've sent their PRIVACY@TELUS.COM an email, and god help the poor person who has to READ IT....- Peter
I have no appointments with TELUS! I get 10 calls a day. When i call back it says I cannot call that number!! Fix it if it is so "legitimate"!
I live in Vancouver, and I used to be with Shaw, until we rebuilt our house. Now that it is built, we were lured back to Shaw by their promo rates. The customer service was great UNTIL we got signed up for all three of their services. The phone kept on dropping out, and the internet kept on dropping out. One time I left my number to call back, and they did, but it took over 3 hours for the return call. Other calls have gone unanswered. Their online chat is just as bad - my phone was dead one time, and I waited on the chat for over 2 hours, when their technician finally came on the chat, and then the internet died. My phone was out for over 1 week because they said it was my house wiring. I have had the wiring guy in TWICE at no charge, and he checked everything over, and there was nothing wrong from his end, but Shaw couldn't even bother to send anyone over. They don't even respond to emails - I left over 10 messages with the original rep I was dealing with, and then I could not get a hold of her by phone or email.
Thanks guys for starting this thread. I recieved a "Dead Air" Call from this # as well (403) 310-2255. I have called Telus and request this # be removed and it's also confirmed to be "Telus Marketing"The 1-8000-567-0000 # is still valid as of this date, June 2nd/09. If you found this thread useful and the informaton handy, please keep this thread going. It only took me a few minutes. Just copy and pase my info and change the date!I didn't make it but this way other people can benefit a well! Damn I hate nuisance calls.Thanks,Bill
I have been getting calls once or twice a day for nearly a week. I was home to answer it today and when I picked up the caller immediately hung up. The call display always showed it was Telus, but Telus has never had any reason to call me from that number. Can't be sure, but I suspect it is a telemarketer "spoofing" the Telus number, making it display as such on my caller ID.
