Ok, I won't lie. I defaulted of some credit cards ...17 years ago! I get few calls and always add people to contacts so unknown callers are rare for me. The Mr. Number android app is great. I wish it could do custom vm messages. Man, would they remember that one. Anywho, screw these dirtbags. Call me forever, I don't care. You'll never wear me down by calling.

Today is Sunday (7/7/2013) .....This # (404-921-2521) just showed up on my caller ID as "Unavailable" & didn't leave a message .....So, I google it & up pops "Portfolio Recovery Associates!" .....The EXTORTIONIST are at it again .....Ur not fooling anybody! .....We know it's u .....It's always u! (with all those different numbers) .....Everybody here knows who the real Perpetraters are & it always leads 2 u!!! .....Stop.Being.Shady! --- Stop.Being.Shady! --- Stop.Being.Shady!!!

You technically still owe the debt, but more than likely the company wrote it off and received a tax break on the loss they took. Most states have a statute of limitations (which means they cannot take you to court for the debt after a certain amount of time), I know in Texas its 4 years. Beware, if you ever acknowledge that you know of the debt, owe the debt, think you may have paid it off, etc...The statute starts all over and it also starts over on your credit report because it is a new company. I have them on a block list and the few times I did answer, it wasn't my debt they were calling about. Since you know you owe the debt...deny...deny...deny and tell them they have the wrong person/phone number. You do not want this to pop back up on your credit as a collection.

Portfolio Recovery Services calls my cell phone several times a week over a debt (That if it is legit) is well over 20 years old...STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS??????????????? I Know the Statute of Limitations is certainly not 22 years here in Florida. Here is the kicker....they call you from a Phone Number where they know you have friends,family or business associates who live in that area code...in this case Atlanta (After the calling from 407 Orlando failed) tomorrow caller ID will be from Upstate New York Area Code....I Guarantee it! I Save the Phone Number as Telemarketers Scumbags so next time they call from 407 I'll know it's these JERKS! Also they call you by your first name and try and hook you in like it is your friend and then they call you Mr or Mrs by your last name after you say "Hello".

annoying as heck....they refuse to accept the fact they have wrong number and I believe call from other area codes as well. They are rude, loud, and unprofessional.

I got this call and on my VP which I am deaf ..this caller is keep calling me and trying find out who this person is but my interpreter try call them back but no answer so, I did little research online and find out nothing so now I put block on that number so that good things.. Please let u all know if u get any numbers on your phone just block them then they can't call u again haha. If they do they will have virus on their phone from block lol.

Don't believe anything what person say on phone because, they so many scrammer these days ..I know, I been through it all. geezz lol.. I'm deaf but, I don't let no scram or anyone get to me anymore. I learn from it so can u ok.. so if someone call just hang up and block that number right away..it's free ok.. plus report to cop also if u have id on your phone or answer machine to record messages between the two of u to proof of communication u two talk ok that important ok. All you have to so is if that person call u again just report to cop or just block number ok.. if keep bothering u then u change phone numbers and tell phone company to block your number from scram to protect u ok.
