The name of the company is Portfolio Recovery Associates. As for blocking your calls, you will either have to get assistance with doing that through your telecommunications and/or ISP provider or buy a phone that allows you to do that.

This is pure SPAM absoultly!Trying to collect from creditors who, I filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy protection in 2002.They call twice a day. 8:15 to 8:30 AM and 4:15 to 4:30 PM also, 8:15 until 8:45 PM.They use multi phone numbers; this one twice including today.The following phone numbers & locations:914-513-0156 - New Rochelle, NY443-313-1381 - Arlington, VA.407-347-4021 - Winter Haven, FL.412-282-1421 -Pittsbourgh, PA.800-772-1413 Toll Free RX VIA cell phone.518-207-3602 - Albany, NY.They don't usually leave a message on answering machine.When I do answer, I inform the caller that I am conducting a legal investigation indicating to the caller that the conversation is being recorded; leagal in Connecticut, USA.Mysteriously, they hang up.

I don't mean to be rude 'deb' , however there are 10 pages relating to this caller just on this one site and 95% tell you what company it is calling you. You may want to read the other posts as that is why people put them here. Also some of the posts tell you how to block their calls--please read or get someone to read to you.!!!!!! Thanks

BEWARE! They call themselves Portfolio Recovery Associates. For credit card debt collection.These people are a scam. They call me every day and have been calling my sister and parents on their unlisted numbers. I think they linked us together by facebook, because I never listed them as references or emergency contacts and we all have different last names! They are calling about credit card debt that doesnt belong to me.We have reported them to the FCC I suggest you do the same!

By law they can only call you from 9am to 9pm.

ROBO CALLS ORIGINATING FROM 404-921-2521 PORTFOLIO RECOVERY. I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION WEBSITE ftccomplaintassistant.gov AND THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY WEBSITE donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx TAKES ALL OF 5 MINUTES. IF WE ALL DID THIS EVERY TIME ONE OF THESE CALLS COME IN THEN JUST MAYBE WE COULD PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!

This is call #119 since they "decided" to "cease collection efforts" in September of 2010. These bottom-feeding vermin issued a fraudulent 1099-C to the IRS for nearly $5000 at that time. They may have paid $50 for this "debt," from 1997, which they have never verified. Some lawyer named Pearspn, who wrote me a letter that was glued to the inside of the envelope, claims they bought this debt in 2001. They never attempted collection until eight yers later, in 2009. By then, it was twelve years old, six years past statute of limitations. Of course I filed complaints with the state Attorney General, the Post Office for mail fraud, the FTC, etc. They keep on calling, because of the very small brains that vermin tend to possess.

PROBALY PORTFOLIO RECOVERY AGAIN CALLING. THEY NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE

This number calls our sales office at least 3 times a day, they never answer when I pick up the phone. I can only assume that somebody used our sales line as a bogus number
