405-555-0199. They called me and after a couple questions and an "oh" as thier response. I got disconnect?????
I called back & they claimed to be with the IRS but had my number supposedly as a contact number for someone I have never heard of.
Just got a call from this number 405-555-0199. Did not answer because I don't answer any calls I don;t recognize. It also says on caller ID Dir Assist OK. I would never call back any number that I don't recognize you never know calling back might indicate that you are the responsible party for any long distance or collect calls. Be careful. A legit business will leave a message for you to get back to them.
this is the 2nd call i get from, 405 555 0199, with msg from a mr. yang, says my number, which is my cell ph, is a contact number and there is an urgent matter to discuss and i need to call 888 420 7233. very disturbing. i called the toll free number this morning and was placed in their queu, "agents were all busy". same thing here they do not leave the name of the company they are with or represent, and do not give the name of the person they are looking for...i normally do not use my cell ph number as a contact number, so not sure how they got my number. i will report this to the bbb, and fcc. i recently signed-up on the no-call list and know it does take 30 days to process.
Same pattern, several calls per day, voice option instead of live person. We pushed "2", they kept calling. I pushed "1" and spoke to a person telling them that they had the wrong number. I was promised to be removed from the list.Just got another call 4 days later, same drill. I pressed 1 and spoke to the guy in a way that would make a drunken, Atheist Sailor blush. That at least got him to hang up.Is this a "No Call List" or Better Business Bureau complaint?

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.

Evidently gets next if kin names from obituaries and calls them all, over and over. Will not say what they are calling about until you give birthdate and ssn of the deceased.
