This is a scam....I tried to call it back and I was connected to 411, and then told I was charged for the call! The only way is not to answer it, phone company not interested!
me too.but in addition to being urgent etc, male voice said "This is Mr. Yang, we've got your numberas an emergency contact number, we must receive a return phone call as soon as possible at 405-555-7233, Thanks for your cooperation". Very false-macho, attempting to intimidate or sound official , new con, I felt, replaying it. A seriously disturbing call. Awaiting return call from relative near this (i think) Van Nuys, Ca #. Will pursue.
Caller ID says "OKLAHOMA". I NEVER answer calls when I don't recognize the number or if it has a strange caller identification displayed. If it is important they would leave a message. They hardly ever leave messages.
got a call from this number left a message we have this number as a reference very important that you return our call today on an important matter then left the number to call as 888-420-7233 of course dialing back the 405-555-0199 you just get a busy signal.
just got a call from this number 405-555-0199, caller ID: "Dir Assist OK", 8:47 am (PST). really strange because the number they called me on is an unpublished, unused number. It is a virtual number I had set up for that area code, simply as a forwarding number. The only way they would have found this number would be through the phone company (although I pay every month to protect that number from being listed) or calling randomly through combinations of numbers. So annoying!

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.
